How To: Make Leaderheads! Ekmek's Guide

Blender should highlite was in unweighted. Or you can select everything that is weighted and then invert selection. C'mon guys, let's not get sloppy here. :lol:

It worked for me a second ago. The link took me to a page on Sourceforge. There were a couple of download files in different formats. I chose the ZIP archive as opposed to the TAR one. It downloaded and opened for me normally. I'm using Safari right now, because my computer is on it's Mac partition; I don't think that ought to matter, but who knows.
 
Sorry. I made a mistake. You can probably put the ZIPed files somewhere according to the readme or some such thing, but if you go back to the Sourceforge site and click the third download option, it's an EXE, which will install this right into your existing program for you.
 
I'm going to try to get my leaderheads up during this Christmas Vacation, I'm kind of swamped with exams and homework this month :(
 
Please, who help me with my .blend? I need to find the unweighted vertices.

you have something assigned to body but nothing assigned to Spine1. body is not a bone - i think you made though you didn't follow my convention of capitalizing it. highlight the torso area - you may have to select the upperarm bones hide them then select al on the torso area and assign it to the spine1. atleast thats the main missing vertices I saw.
 
Well, apparenly I have no idea what I am doing. I thought I installed everything correctly (I got rid of all the old stuff and redownloaded everything) and I was going into Blender to edit an LH and I couldn't even import a NIF file. So apparently I definitely can't make a good Maggie Thatcher LH. :lol:

Here's a screen shot, can you gather what I did wrong from this? Did I install something incorrectly?

Yeah, except for NifSkope, I already had that in and didn't think I'd need to delete it and redownload it. Do I?

I suppose I can try it again, although I didn't think I had to download NifSkope at a specific time.

You need the nifscript plugin or you did a wrong installation of it
Also it seems you did a wrong phyton installation, because there is no phyton scripts

unfortunately your tutorial, in the troubleshooting section, gives no hints about CTDs the first time someone perform a LH test.
Which are the most common reasons because this happens?

usually thats an error in the art defines.xml , sometimes its putting the wrong shader name which should be the NoSkin one
 
Ekmek, I need your help. When I import Abe Lincoln to Blender I get a black image and no texture. Even after I add the textures like you said in your guide it is still black, and I can't work with it. Are you familiar with this problem?

thats a known issue with Lincoln. you'll see that the nif is weird in nifskope too. I discovered it when I first did jeff davis. I still haven't figured out how to fix it. I think I tried one time by doing a similar process that we use to add shaders to old lhs then change the texture names. I cant recall if that worked or not.

I think that it's something related to shader because I've CTDs whenever I set shader name to TLeaderheadShaderNoSkin_20 or TLeaderheadShader_20
If I set "has shader = no" then I've a transparent LH, i.e I see eyes and teeth floating in front of the bg :lol:

Maybe did I something wrong into blender? :confused:
