I think that it's something related to shader because I've CTDs whenever I set shader name to TLeaderheadShaderNoSkin_20 or TLeaderheadShader_20
If I set "has shader = no" then I've a transparent LH, i.e I see eyes and teeth floating in front of the bg :lol:

Maybe did I something wrong into blender? :confused:

sounds like the skinpartition issue i mention in the troubleshooting section

either export with skinpartitions unclicked (you might have had it click for units) or delete the line 'skinpartition' from each Niskininstance in nifskope.
 
So what you're saying about Abe is that I'm basically working in the dark here? It is a good thing that I only need to take the suit and not really adjust it.

Yeah, when I was making that Stambolov LH Lincoln's suit was a pain in the ass.
 
Well, I cut his suit and imported it on another LH and suddenly somebody turned on the lights!

I had exported from blender as TriShape with Skinpartitions
I've newly exported as TriStrip without Skinparts and now it works

Hi again, Ekmek. I continue with my Lincoln-related problems. The problem now is with adding shaders. The LH works when you add shaders, but there is this weird problem that I don't know how to solve. I want to know how can I add the necessary files in Nifskope to make Lincoln's suit shadered. For more details see attached pics. The first one is what I see ingame. The second one shows the Augustus LH (which was imported correctly into Blender) compared to the Lincoln LH (which, as you already know, has issues).

first click on scene root and choose block->insert->NiS..-<NiSourcetesture then enter a dds name or tga directory not needed


I believe if you click on the texturing properties of the one you want to change then scroll down to the SHADER TEXTURES section once you expand it you'll see some that say no. change it to yes and then add the NUMBER of the source texture you created. From what I've done you can reuse numbers. Also this is how I added the ENV.dds shader back to my LHs. For some reason blender drops that one.

if you are not sure what goes where just look at how the augustus ones are set up. But its better to look at the firaxis augustus (or lincoln) to see how they are set up.

BTW Coyote told us this a few pages back when he corrected by adding shader section ;)

It doesn't work. It won't let me add a dds file.
And I tried looking at how Augustus and Lincoln are set up, but I couldn't figure out anything.
So, if anybody could help me it would be nice. If not, I guess it'll be another failed LH project I will have to cancel. That's why I hate making LHs- even the simplest projects can be so frustrating because of a small problem. I was supposed to finish this LH a few days ago, but now I'm stuck!

does it still let you export? does it cause problems?

Nope. It just gives me the error then tells me to check the python console, which tells me that the list index is out of range. I know it has something to do with certain objects, but I can never figure out what about the objects themselves is causing the error.

EDIT: Figured it out. I was trying to export objects with shader textures without clicking the "export extra shader" button when exporting
 
BLENDER 2.5 ALPHA VERSION!​

At last the Blender Foundation is realased the first alpha version of BLENDER 2.5!
Soon it will got NIF SCRIPTS, and then you (Ekmek) will update your guide with it!

I downloaded a source (because it's haven't got Windows installer yet), and I created a screenshot about Blender!
