HqNes2 - Fair, New World

From: Skarabe
To: Laconia- NPC

we would wish to enter trade with your nation

Laconia isn't NPC... -.-

*I'm* Laconia.

@Hq - I can't remember the names of the cities because I deleted the orders by accident. I'm gonna called whatever the merchant port was "Piraeus" until/if you tell me its original name.

FROM: Dominion of Laconia
TO: Skarabe

Your merchants are allowed residence in the merchant quarter of Piraeus. The area is heavily patrolled and the laws are very fair, although very strict. So long as your merchants are on their best behaviour, they will be allowed to trade. If they break any of the laws, they will be imprisoned for a period of five years. The second violation will result in summary execution. Laws include disorderly behaviour, subversive activity, cheating Laconians in business deals, attempting to marry a Laconian, and many others, which are reasonable. If they follow the rules, they will enjoy the benefits of a well situated, well regulated, fair, popular port of trade.

Skarabe now, Imperia has kind of fallen apart, with its leader dead i no longer control it

our merchants believe in the laws of your nation and would never dream of breaking them, however me must be curious why you imagine us to be degenerates...

FROM: Dominion of Laconia
TO: Skarabe

We do not think your people are degenerates. We are merely informing you of our laws. Our port is more orderly than foreign ports, but as such, it more successful. We welcome your merchants.

OOC: My bad.

no problemo, in fact you just gave me a great idea, going to name my cities

Skarabe names its cities

From Tribunal

The temple hears of rumors that you're leaders have intercourse with there fellow sister/brothers. We frown on the thought of a brother and a sister having a marriage together. If such a thing is true we suggest that you take interest in the learnings of the Tribunal Temple.

we must keep our bloodlines pure, since we have bloodlines from the sky god it is only reasonable to keep it to ourselves

We see no reason for a far off heathen "civilization" to be bothering a quiet and noble people, begone and trouble our people, our rulers or our great gods no longer

I am back and I have forgotten all about this one. Will catch up and post orders asap.

Take your time sheep. I haven't started yet and will be visiting family today. I also hope Iggy will be back before I start.
Monday and Tuesday will be long, but I hope to start. Otherwise I have Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off :)
I think this will be the last IT for this period. I'll see what happens.

UPDATE 16 – 794 AF

The End of Conflict!
After years of fighting the conflicts finally cool down and peace once again dominates the land. In the west the destruction of Imperia has led to peace being concluded between the involved nations. As the remains of Imperia disintegrated into internal strife and fighting the forces of Mearlekrol and Dashtaka were quick to reach an agreement and share the provinces, once again sealing the peace and friendship between the two nations.
With their ally gone, diplomats soon decided on peace between Dashtaka and Calador as well. Whilst the Caladonians didn’t gain much from the war and suffered heavily they did manage to get rid of their archnemesis leading to massive happiness in the land (+happiness and confidence). The end of the fighting also sees trade starting to pick up again, though slowly.

Interestingly enough the two allies, Dashtaka and Th'Lex-Zamrezei, seem to have little trust for each other. The Th’Lex build a series of watchtowers along their southern border whilst the Dashtakans complete what has become known as the Iggy-Line; a series of fortifications running along the border.

If we move further east the Mearl and the Siberians also come to an agreement. Rather than continue a war that the people are getting tired of, the Mearl cede the eastern province to the Siberians. Having freed up a bunch of troops the Siberians then focus on Syldavia. The Tribunal offers only minimal assistance as they are too busy with a southern expansion, but as the Higorians push south and the elite Siberian army push east there is little Syldavia can do and after a few battles ending in disaster the morale evaporates and desertions run riot. With barely any troops left the Syldavian government surrenders and sees its land divided amongst the victors.

The Ibeian war also ends. With both Tiesto and Pithal getting ready for the final push by recruiting and training more troops and striking simultaneously there is little the can do. Isis itself falls to the Pithali troops and as the forces are continuously pushed back it is clear that the nation must make peace or disappear forever. The terms of the peace are harsh with Tiesto and Pithali both annexing territories, but peace is found and Ibe survives.

Down by Ironal another conflict, which has been brewing for some time, is resolved as well though not in the way most people thought it would be. The nation of Tirpi has finally had it with the Ironalians trying to subtly trying to take over and moves against them. Unfortunately for them the citizens are against them and even the army refuses to follow the orders of the government. Declaring life better under the Ironalians the overthrow their leaders and join with their increasingly powerful neighbour. Sure, there are some who are against this and a civil war soon erupts, but with the intervention of the Ironalian army this is soon quashed and the nation brought into the fold.

NOTES

Heh, that was a quick update. Now, most of the stats are only partially updated. I saw little reason to get everything up to speed because we’re going to be moving to a BT now. Time will move forward roughly 100 years and take us to a time that is somewhat equal to OTL Western Europe at 1000 AD, so the Early Middle Ages.

I’d like to get some BT orders from everyone. Please tell me roughly what your nation will be doing in the future. All land will get filled out. Those with massive expansions will lose a little in the internal development and vice versa.

I’d like to be told what your primary focus will be. Also, you should give me 4 other areas that receive secondary attention. Whether it is army, navy, training, education, exploration, expansion etc is up to you.

Then I’ll redo all the stats looking at what has happened lately and what you are looking to do in the future. I’ll also simplify the rules a bit.

All this assuming there’s interest in continuing it. Otherwise I'll put this on hold and work on my AltHis... with players from here getting first option on nations.

keep it going harq.

I would have sent orders. I was a little confused what was going on for some reason.

But keep this going !!!

Keep it going! This is one of my favourites, even though Laconia is not very active.

Absolutely nothing happened to me, it seems. Nice. :)

The basic orders for the BT are to finish the City, look elite (education and military training), and be the nation that nobody would want to go to war with, while increasing happiness and being elitist as well as elite.

Will think of something longer later.
