Background:
Located deep in the southern forests, Cironelle has slowly, but steadily, expanded in all directions to become a true nation. A deeply religious people, the holy men of Aun have done much for the population with the blessings of the leadership. The result of this is a highly developed nation that can be called the current pinnacle of civilization.

UPDATE 15 – 792 AF

The Peaceful South
With most of the continent having erupted into war there are precious few peaceful areas left. In Cironelle the armed forces are trained just in case, but the primary focus is on interaction with the neighbouring tribes and expansion. Many join outright with the Cironese whilst others leave their tribes to seek a better life in Cironelle.
In Ironal things continue much as they have this past decade. Ties with Tirpi get closer and closer as the cultural expansion continues. The government still resists, but more and more of the population is beginning to see the Ironalian point of view and has started imitating their southern neighbour. Some preachers from Cironelle has arrived and started trying to find followers. So far they have been remarkably successful though the followers of the Tribunal Temple remain sceptical. Converts have come mainly from the southern tribes where the old lore was still strong.

Right, sorry about the delay and the low quality this time. Things are really hectic. Next deadline is in a week and is a normal IT. I hope we can go to a BT after that, but we’ll have to wait and see.

- - 1. REASSIGNMENT OF TROOPS
De-emphasise the southern border in accordance with consultations with local high priests and officials of trade, who are to be responsible for peace with local tribes. Leave the eastern and north-eastern areas guarded by far fewer infantry, to be reassigned to the west. Set up signal chains and watchtowers. Place cavalry on the northern border.

- - 2. PRIORITY DECISIONS
First priority is to the establishment in the west. Second - Ironal retains its status as major threat. During the coming period of possible vulnerability, value the northern inter-city border. Inform Ironese (Ironian?) commanders that any border threat will be met with immediate and massive retaliation; we doubt they can spare the forces to both guard their southern city and attack us and at the same time watch their other fronts.

- - 3. DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
Consult with the military commanders of Zhuba on the possibility of mutual defense agreements. Ironal is an unknown; they have been neutral so far and have had something brewing for years. Seek peace guarantees, but be on guard.

First: Our military movements are shifts to protect the new city being founded on our western border. We hope you understand that we must take up defensive positions during the early stages of such a venture.
Second: While we do not have direct control over our priests, we can assure you that they, too, will be traveling west for a few years to come. We do not seek to win the greatest number of converts, but we believe that the doctrines of Aun and the increase of Aunoss are good for all. Hence our actions may lead to followers of Aun arising in your lands simply because they see that we bless our people.
