I don't get emails about subscribed topics.

I don't get emails about subscribed threads.

I checked in Control Panel.
My email is Ok.

Allow Bulletin Board Administrators and Moderators To Send You Email Notices? YES

Hide Email Address? YES (for private resons)

Use 'Email Notification' by default? YES

Enable Private Messaging? YES

Send you an email when you receive a Private Message? YES

Pop up a box when you receive a Private Message? YES


So what's the problem?
(Poly with same settings works fine)

All those messages do is spam up your email.

I had that problem with my ISP. I think it's because they block either telefragged, or ugo.

*Lots* of ISP's block telefragged's email servers.

I imagine that they used not to be secure and were used as open relays to spam the world (since that is usually why email servers get put on banned lists).

After changing ISP several times I finally found one that got the emails, but it was totally hit and miss.

I use hotmail for this service, works fine and is pretty cheap too.

Right. . .Yahoo for me, I get them. Poly's too, but I don't post there much. Okay, at all. . . but I get all the email notifications at yahoo.

Well some of us are able to use POP3 email clients, I know of no free POP3 providers (the service is usually bundled with ISP packages).

Using that web based stuff really isn't efficient...

I have AOL and i guess its the one blocking the messeges, i wish i could have email notification cause on my 56k its a hassle going through the forum just to see if someone has posted in a thread i'm in, although it won't be a problem sincei 'm getting cable this friday

Exactly the reson why I need this.

P.S.
Well, so the reson of missing mails is that the way how CivFanatic emails are sent looks to risky to my ISP.

Well, I won 't change my ISP mail service just for that.

If CivFanatics can't do it in the same way as Poly (which is not blocked for me), I would then keep using bookmarked CivFanatics Control Panel as partial solution.

CivFanatic mail service was good a year before.
