I hereby declare cold weather illegal

I propose a giant multi-part sumlamp that covers the entire globe except the ice caps.
IIRC in the early 70s the Twin Cities Metropolitan Council seriously looked into the possibility of covering the region with a transparent dome and turning it into a giant greenhouse of sorts. The project never got off the ground due to the huge expense involved and unsolveable air pollution problems it would cause.

Minnesota is too damn cold. And there is too much snow, and too much traffic, and that combines into gross-annoyingness, maybe we could get some damn urban planners that know how to create transportation infastructure and I'd be less cranky about traffic and thus less cranky about winter traffic and could actually enjoy the cold without being stuck behind an endless sea of cars creeping along at 5MPH!

Cannot go outside? You yanks are pathetic, as -30 is the perfect temperature to go outside.
 Liar. It's ok for 10 or 20 minutes but more than that is no fun. Do they have wind in Canada? If you have trees I suspect that you don't share some of the same problems we have.

Just when I was thru complaining about the weather and how flippin' hot it was this summer (hottest on record in Phoenix for June, July, August and September) I have to start complaining again...<sigh> Hitting almost freezing (at night) the past couple weeks. Now that may not seem much to you "norterners" but for someone like me who is used to 70F winters its bloody cold down here!

Then no pond hockey!!! Can u wusses take some cold weather. :p

My point exactly, cold weather isnt a problem at all, but some people just cant take it.

I completely agree. In beautiful Victoria BC (Canada, duh!), we hardly ever get snow or cold weather, and this year we have had 4 cm already!!! Not to mention the -5 [degrees sign] Celcius. Freezing!!! Usually during winter it goes down to maybe 1-5 [degrees] celcius, definitely no snow. Oh, and the wind chill of -10C or something.

Yeah, over here in Victoria BC, we sorta have this anti-snow region, and -5 is bloody cold for us! (-5C, which is like 23F). I mean really. Like, our flowers start blossoming in the beginning of February! We have a week-long flower count during the first week of February just so we can piss the rest of the country (buried in a good metre of snow) off!

Anyways, the lesson: if you want to outlaw cold weather, move to Victoria!

You can place my name on the list

I propose an immediate nuclear attack on any clouds threatening to deliver snow.

so I better be getting my own SDI. Right now I would kill for a bit of snow. this winter the most we got so far was about 5cm, pathetic.

I don't mind cold weather as long as it gets warm again in spring. Otherwise, there would be no skiing

As this is gonna be my first ski-less winter since 1987, I won't forfill your request.

If I suffer, all will suffer  !

Up here it is pretty much cold for 7-8 months straight (oct/nov-april/may) if it's a bad year. I am getting a house in a European mediterrenean country when I retire. No way I'll stay here for the rest of my life.

And it is just a little warmer than that right now in Calgary.(-20C, about -30C with wind chill)

I don't mind the cold. Keeps people from going soft. It's below zero here today, with a windchill of about -20. F.

I will be heading back to Arizona at the first opportunity. I would MUCH rather have 110f in the summer than the current 0f temperatures Colorado has been suffering for the last few days.
