I guess, my reason is also one of the purposes that the game designers want to accomplish to serve the players of this would be world popular game on its own right independent of IV. But that's only my own opinion, so...

Give you guys a bit more try...I am sure you will feel the same reason too...

You're right! Actually I am a newbie to CIVILIZATION games. What makes a newbie feel loving a game so much, the reason is very obvious now if you think in that direction.
