Well, if you're using such a biased definition, then I reject that your version of "faithful" is anything necessarily good at all.

To me, the important points are keeping to promises or commitments you make to people, and not betraying them.

You also forget other possibilities, eg, a ring of four, not to mention including same-sex or mixed-sex groups, where there are many more possibile combinations.

False, practicing multiple relationships already exists in our culture, as I stated earlier, albeit not widely known about, and the term "polygamy" is rarely used, because people either assume it means "marriage" which is illegal, or only consider "one man many women" as you yourself do.

I knew someone would bring this up. A group marriage of four or five or six people, all each other's husband and wife? That is so far from a marriage it is insulting. The notion that multiple people could all love each other as a husband and wife love each other is even more absurd than a man loving several wives.

And what is the advantage of this relationship, rather than leaving it unoffifcial? And what is it's limit? Why don't we declare monasteries or corporations or entire states group marriages?
