ICNES II: A New Order

What?! So basically I'm forced to carry an entire damn war that I didn't even start?....... If its that way, you guys have my answer.

From Union of the Rhine
To Saxony

We will accept a two turn NAP and that is the longest as things in Europe are changing rapidly.

From Union of the Rhine
To Ottoman Empire

We accept a two turn NAP since there seem to be no hostilities or conflicts emerging from our governments.

To: Spanish Pretenders
From: The Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland

Do to recent events and our past, we will strike your empire in this war in revenge of your treachury in the 6 year war. Good day.

From Saxony
To Union of the Rhine

Agreed.

For the record, things like "Now that Spain is an NPC, I will betray them" are exactly why I quit this NES.

^^^
Agreed. I am very tempted to leave this NES what with the extraordinary amount of deceit and backstabbing going on. I won't though because it is just too fun to finally be playing a real power in a major NES.

I guess thats aimed at me, since I was the only one stupid enough to ally. First off, our alliance was defensive. You both attacked each other, so I didn't even have to declare war. And for your infomation, I was planning on betraying. Not you, through. I was quite frankly, taking pressure off me so I could assist in the defense of the Sicilies. But that matters little now- I refuse to fight a war I didn't start.

If I make a promise to a PC- I keep it. NPCs I don't care about.

what backstabbing did I commit cuiv? I came in this as a new player and have no ideas of any secret agreements you had, so i am going by formal agreements, I even pm'd you, and u never responded, so stop being a baby, is there really any big backstabbings except russia braking a nap

Wubba, Cuivinen was betrayed by many people because there was a lot of stuff going on in the background you do not know about.

Anyway lets just drop it and continue playing the game because it is covering the thread with spam.

Right, that has nothing to do with it, and, if you had bothered to read the thread, you would know that I have been away for a while.

And yes, your invasion of Spain is about the largest backstabbing ever. But Spain is now an NPC, so it's okay.

*cough* DOUBLE STANDARD *COUGH*

I really don't see anyone leaving a Das nes becuase of all the incredible amount of backstabbing that goes on there. I have no problem with backstabbing, its called politics. Backstabbing is a key component of history. You're all just sore because your witnessing a few new players begin to come into their own.

In other words, you play by the OOC, as opposed to the IC. Shame.[/quote]

Deal with it. Decit and backstabbing is part of NESing and one of the most fun part IMO. This NES has had amazing diplomacy what with the treaties, secreat alliances, and agreements and all and its very rare to see a NES that has that. You would be making a great mistake if you quit because you would be hard pressed to find another NES like this one.

I find the reasons you display for leaving ludicrous cuiv. Nothing but a humongous hissy fit. I have lost count how many times I have been stabbed in the back, but you fight on, or failing that use diplomacy wherever possible.

What she is talking about is a plan that mulitple players including myself had with Spain to attack France. Now the other players in this so called alliance that never eventuated know full well that secret alliances rarely work as there is always one nation that sees more to gain from helping the enemy and thus these alliances are always betrayed.

But if you want to have a cry about it, not my problem.

Anyways enough of this I say lets get back to this awesome nes and if cuiv wishes to stay she can, if she doesnt, let her go, the nes will be better for it.

To the Empire of Great Britian
From the Holy Roman Empire of the Second Reich

We welcome your decleration of war against the Empire of Spain for their treachous attacks on not only the Kingdom of France but also against the Empire of Japan. We hope that this brings about a new dawn in Anglo-Imperial relations and look forward to the co-operation of our two governments as should of always been the case.

Enough, Cuivienen has left. She has made her decision. Let her be.

Can you come onto AIM by any chance pleace Ica, I do wish to speak to you!!!

You continue to miss the point. You betraying me was annoying, but not entirely unexpected. The problem I have with the NES has little to nothing to do with the secret alliance or ultimate lack thereof, and those of you who claim otherwise are merely trying to put the blame elsewhere. As I explained via PM to Icmancin, my problem is the unrealism of many of the actions, unrelated to betrayals, of the PC players in this NES. Sheep, I know, you do whatever you want if the mod lets you get away with it. That's exactly what I don't like.

End of story.

You must have not been reading the thread to think a betrayal of France would happen. I rememebr royal marriages, treaties. All that stuff. I see nothing unrealistic goign on.As this is a game, not real life.
