Ok, if that is what you wish if your SO yells and screams at you and tosses dishes at you for being late for dinner :mischief:.

The more Catholics the merrier!
Now I feel special :D. Though I am more along with the French/Irish/Polish Catholic (My heritage is French Canadian, Irish, Norwegian, Polish, and English). I have known a few Hispanics whom are Roman Catholics. Not sure why though, but I guess cause Spain is a Catholic country during the Age of Discovery as well as Colonialism.

I love Spain(Lo encanto)! I've only been once, but it was the best trip of my life. I have officially decided that Spain is my second favorite country.(Sorry UK:p )
I'm learning spanish right now and would love to know more about the country. Gracias.

Spain seems cool, from the perspective of a fellow hispanohablante.

By the way, wouldn't it be me lo encanto?

Yup:thumbsup:Right

Italy!!! Another great coutry. Alas, that is for another day.

So I take it Trajan12 that you want to learn Spanish because you're interested in Spain and the Spanish Culture as well as visit that nation one day on your own (Since you said you went there once)? :)

Enjoy Spanish. I really just gave up after four semesters in it. I just had no more room left over for it.

If I could actually live there, that would be great! Like a vacation home or something.

I hear it is not good to learn languages from school. Better at your own pace.

No just me encanta - encanto would be past tense

- Fue a España y me encanto - I went to Spain it enchanted* me

*Litterally Enchanted used as I really really liked it an equal in English would be I was Enamored by it which is the same word as Enamorado - In love in all the latin languages.

-Yes I know my spelling is specletive at best ;)

innocent.gif

Dual meaning - Goat and Conundrum If you read some latin you will often see people yelling goat when there is a problem - English once agian "stole" that word ;) :king:

The closest to Rascal would be Trabiesos (spl?) which is like little mess maker or little problem maker - Dennis the Mennis is called El Trabieso

*Edit* feel free to ask me anything about Spanish or Pochoismos
inventing anglicized Spanish words (called "Pochismos"), such as "mopear" for the verb "to mop," or "parquear" for the verb "to park."

No one knows more about them then me .....I could make a dictonary out of em

Ahh damn thats right. My brain is tired.:twitch:

Alright, I've got one.But this is onlt translitaration form.

Buyo rupio piso pilasos!

Buyo is Voya? (I am gonna)

rupio is Rubio maybe? (Blond male)

Piso is Piso (I step or the floor-ground)

Pilasos - (Pilas is batterys (baterias is also baterias but more in the sense of something getting battered I.E. hit over and over) the suffix Asos (azo) implies a large amount of something Thirazo - hard throw or kick. Golazo (big goal)

So is it - I am gonna blond step batter you? - you want to step on his blond face? :crazyeye: :crazyeye: So confused

@Tar and Civ general - In my friends Japanese class they told all of the Mexican Spanish speakers to pronounce the Japanese words with a Mexican "rhythm" because the Mexican accent (in Spanish) makes every sylabal about the same length as in Japanese with a Japanese accent.

None of the other Spanish accents work for it thou (especially a Spanish accent)

In fact the Japanese teacher said as far as accents go Japanese and Mexican
Spanish are the two most simmalar there are (other than the Indigenous languages in Mexico - all thou I am assuming they meant european and new world languages, I know the accent simmalarity was discovered by linguist in Japan when they were trying to develop programs to teach people Japanese but, I highly doubt they studyed every language)
