If everyone in the world could read one book...

For religion, the truth, and something to guide your life:

The Bible

For excitement and a great fantasy:

Lord of the Rings

For an out-right joke which might make your blood boil:

Any one of Michael Moore's book or anything to do with evolution

No responses from me because I am trying to avoid arguments which lead to bans.

Forgot to specify, the Bible new internation version, even King James version is corrupted, leaving out key analogies and lessons. Also read the story of Gladys Alward, which I'm not very sure was her name. Gladys was a missionary from England who went to China just before, or during the Japanese invasion prior to WW2 and managed to survive horiffic hardships.

But sure, that's what makes the workd go round.:)

Nietzsche, "The Birth of Tragedy"

It has gotta be Tom Clancy for me. Simply a fantastic writer, his books almost are as good as C3C, but not quite. Any of his books are awesome. Another great author is John Grisham, any of his books are very good as well.

Not exactly life-changing books though...

Maybe not so much with Tom Clancy, but have you read Bleachers, by John Grisham? The Street Lawyer and The Testament as well as Bleachers all give good insight into human nature. While it may not be earth shattering, it's still not fluff.
