If god was real, he would be a space alien

Why do atheists create so many threads about God? Guilty conscience maybe?
Because it's an interesting philosophical topic.

My guess is that they are fishing for believers in God to troll against and humiliate ;).

This particular thread is about examining god from a scientific point of view.

I wouldn't call it a "scientific point of view" - moreso a naturalistic point of view.

Well, by calling him a space alien, you rob God of his omnipotence. Are we assuming that a being deserving of being called "God" or "a god" necessarily is omnipotent, or not?

It wouldn't necessarily rob such a creature of omnipotence. It could be possible that some creature has developed some technology to twist our laws of physics to perform miracles. So, the laws of physics are laws to us humans, but to this creature, it's not so limiting.

We can't make the distinction ourselves as to what counts as a God and what doesn't. We can't comprehend all of what God is and can do.

I also don't see why atheists wouldn't be able to have a neutral conversation about possibilities without flaming. Just because there is an overabundance of flaming and trolling in OT on that subject does not mean every time someone speaks of religion they have malicious intent.

Are space aliens 'scientific'?

Yes. :p They may or may not be there, so you don't get to say "haha space aliens lulz".

Still, though, this thread is pointless. God is real; he's not a space alien. This is all hypothetical pointlessness.
