1575AD Domination win:

Whent Pottery-Mining->BW for early cottages. Had 8 cities around 1AD and 10 peacefully (with 2 barb cities) after expansion. Settled towards Monty, so he didn't end up getting too big. Shared religion with Jao and Izzy. Izzy and Willem was the two biggest (Willem teching like a madman) but Monty kept beating on Willem and Ragnar on Izzy. Build GLib and Sankore in Istanbul and Taj in a barb city.

Won Lib by 800AD and took Nationalism (Willem got Lib at the same turn). Then teched to Cui and started whipping in all my cities except Istanbul and then attacked Monty->Hannibal->Willem->Ragnar vassaling them to save time and units. Izzy got rifles just as I attacked her, so I had to make peace with her and Jao (her vassal) and then teching to Cavalry. This dragged the game on ~200 years. When I attacked her with Cavalries I won a domination when she had 2 cities left.

After I started whipping no city besides the capital got over 7 pop.

Conquest 1650 AD. It was pretty boring from midgame because i knew i would win... basically steamrolled Monty -> Hannibal -> Willem -> Joao -> Izzy+Ragnar with Cuirassiers into cavalry.

Folks - Tech support help request - I use Buffy3.0 & BTS3.19.

I'm trying to play my first downloaded scenario (this immortal university) but I am unable. I know I have to do something to lock/unlock assets in the ini file (which file, which lines?), but I have no idea what. I know this is a common question, but my google-fu is failing me. I prefer to play with Buffy instead of vanilla BTS. Thanks in advance-Frisbee

frisbee - Download BUG/BULL and install in custom assets (single player mode). BUFFY is basically BUG/BULL tweaked to adhere to Hall of Fame rules. BUG/BULL in custom assets is best for playing forum games unless a worldbuilder save is provided, in which case you can use BUFFY or BAT.

By the way, you should consider the BAT mod over BUFFY. BAT is more up-to-date and is a great mod.

Anyway, although many of us here us BUFFY for GOTMs and SGOTMs and HOF, it is badly in need of updating and it does have some minor performance issues.

Download the scenario .zip file, and unzip it's contents into My Documents/My Games/Beyond The Sword/Saves/single/worldbuilder and go to "Play Scenario". You should see the file. If you still can't find it, post in the BUFFY forums here
