Imperium Off Topicum - The Enlightenment

Presuming America invaded simply to protect Brazil, we will surrender North Brazil and we will pay 1IP for each of our territories America has under occupation.

We would prefer if we paid you 4 IP for each territory, and another two IP for the damage we caused in the Caribbean, for the territory we're claiming. Not only that, but we will allow free passage of Pirate ships through the Panama Canal which we hope will be completed by 1730.

This is ridiculous, we have like nowhere to claim.

There is no way we are negotiating on Central America. South Mexico perhaps if you paid a very high price for it.

The alternative is we spend 11 LP this turn on armies and end the war. How about we pay you three LP a turn for say, 10 turns? That should totally make up for the territories.

The American Republic is proud to announce that the brief American-Pirates War is over. In exchange for Southern Mexico and Central America, we hereby recognize the Pirate's right over Peru and Venezuela.

Dom Sparrow, our terms of peace are Amazonas (North Brazil), the Lesser Antilles and Venezuela.

As we said, we recognize their rights to this territory and we slowly increase support for the Pirates as time goes on. Since America alone outproduce the British Empire and Brazilians together, we suggest that peace terms are more favorable to the Pirate's cause. Namely, they get back Peru and Brazil is recognized to keep have Argentina.

@Japan, have you claimed the islands north of Indonesia? If so, why? We had an agreement. If you do not withdraw from the lands promised to Australia immediately, very bad things will happen.

You have three provinces. I'm sure he's terrified.

Yeah, he might be terrified, but not of me. He if is afraid of anything he is afraid of breaking an agreement agreed on by three nations, two of which are extremely powerful.

We are Outraged by this new agreement between the Pirates and America. America has completely turned it's back on Brazil, some might say betrayed then, for the simple purpose of gaining more territory.

We point out that wilst it may be true america can outproduce us, should our allies in sweden be added to the equation we are on a more equal footing, with us having a 1IP advantage. That said, we do not seek conflict with America. We seek to ensure the safety and security of Brazil, and to allow them to govern the territory they have rights to.

You could say...

We.....

Have Manifest our Destiny.

Brazil has rights to Argentina and Chile. Let the Pirates have Northern South America and then damn their luck for being in the shadow of the Glorious American Republic. Besides, even if Sweden did get into the battle, our fleet is already here. We're fielding an incredibly large army already and can easily build a couple of First Rate and several Frigates by the time the Europeans reach the battle zone. That's neither here nor there because we're not planning on going to Europe.

As such, we recognize Brazil's rights to the aforementioned territories.

Announcement: Skuma is no longer a vassal of Double A.

Sweden is shocked, nay, appalled that America would support a lawless band of brigands against a legitimate nation-state, especially when several others have already pledged their support against the forces of anarchy and chaos.

We cannot stand by as one nation sells out another to the hordes, and we demand that America stops its support of the pirate bands of the Caribbean.

We suggest the....Europeans stay out of the affairs of the nations that make up the Americas. We won't kowtow to European Imperialists like the Brazilians will. We don't need to kowtow either. The Pirates will have Peru and the territory they already have.

The Monroe Doctrine has gone into effect+Roosevelt Corollary. Not only will the Europeans remain out of the New World, Latin America is part of our Sphere of Influence.
