His claim overlaps with mine. Actually, if anybody should get the Falklands due to historical accuracy it should be the Marian Empire.

I believe UN action is need in this dire situation which I just learned about. Back in the diplo thread, Mathalamus commented that there are no Catholics in his country. I inquired further to find out that there is a small, albeit oppressed population. The Catholics there are not allowed to build churches, or organize in any sort of meaningful way. He even went as far as saying he hates Catholics, and that he will only build stuff for the Orthodox.

I believe these types of Nazi/medieval ideas should not exist in this day and age. I request that immediate action should be taken to liberate these oppressed individuals. To do this, I propose Operation Catholic Freedom. Which includes the invasion of Byzantium; and the toppling of these oppressive ideas in the government and instituting one with freedom of religion.

If enough people besides me believe this is in their best interests (trust me, it is), I will declare war on Byzantium tomorrow as to liberate these people.

we celebrate freedom of religion (since 1890) and no one is being oppressed. period.

Once again I highly doubt in a city the size of Constantinople that there isn't a single catholic.

And my mission isn't to establish a catholic government, it's to free the Catholics (and the rest of the minorities) from your oppressive Orthodox one.

So there are Catholics there... but that doesn't explain why it took up until I threatened war to get them a church built (esp. if there are hundreds of them).

look even i see a major threat when i see it. just take it as a timeline change. on the spot. i usually do that anyway.

if i construct a large catholic church, it needs to have a steady amount of visitors. we don't really like to have useless buildings taking up space.
