Greece stops the payment to Iberia. Since you forced us to give up our colony, we dont own you money anymore.

We have not forced Greece to do anything. Choose your words carefully and do not dare to take bold actions, unless you want this conflict to escalate.

We paid for the whole colony, not for a dominion. And you supported the rebels!! The payment is over. We return you Timor. Do what you want with Timor. We dont want it and we shall not pay for it!

Seeing as Greece has explicitly rejected sovereignty over Timor-Leste the government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste views this as de jure recognition of our sovereignty. We request that the Kingdom of Iberia decline to respond in the affirmative to Greece "returning" Timor-Leste to Iberian control to prevent this matter becoming more complex than it already is. Furthermore we invite any nation that recognises Timorese sovereignty to exchange ambassadors.

France, wanting to see how well our military force does, declares war on Greece. Also, we recognizes the sovereignty of Timor-Leste.

We also would like to form an alliance and trade agreement with Timor-Leste.

OOC: filli_noctus: Once we win this war, we will make sure that Greece either makes you a sovereign nation, or put you in dominion status under Iberia. Which ever option you choose.

Well, this is awkward. I have a DP with Greece and an alliance with the Frenchies.
I will remain neutral in this war, but if Greece is annexed or unable to pay its debt because of vassalization or land loss, it will be the members of that war and/or the person who vassalized Greece paying the Greek's debt to me (23 EP total: 5 EP this turn, and 2 EP up until 1936).

We extend our thanks to the glorious nation of France and accept the offer of an alliance and trade agreement.

OOC: Full sovereignty, of course.

Under the Balkan alliance, Greek sovereignity over their native lands is guaranteed. Turkey would just like to remind any and all of you of that. France, guarantee that Greece will not be annexed so we of the alliance don't have to worry about it.

Iberia has no interest in such a far away land, of relative unimportance, and recognises the sovereignty of Timor-Leste in the Greek communique.

Iberia frowns upon the arbitrary declaration of war against Greece and warns the latter that failure to comply with this year's payment will result in a full-scale conflict.

Okay we will pay. France, can we negotiate a peace treaty?

Greece recognizes the sovereignty of Timor-Leste and offers a 3 years NAP.

Germany must protest this madness. You're invading a country over a tiny little island? What is this, the middle ages? Must be, because you're trying to reinstate the German monarch. The communists are civilized compared to you. There is less barbarism in the entire Amazon jungle than the city of Paris.

Mexico condemns France for their insane actions.

OOC: Seriously, y'all are acting like its the middle ages. Let me just say that no France between the world wars would go to war with Greece. Especially not to "test our army" or over a tiny island.

Seriously! Will you guys at least TRY to keep IC?

Exactly, France's army was already tested in the Great War, and it did so badly that both the British and Americans had to bail it out. :mischief:

Since everybody else is is doing it, Württemberg recognises Timor but plans to stay neutral in any upcoming conflict unless we're directly threatened.
