The Malaccan TV Corporation has begun production on a film, working title "The Red Shores of Vietnam", about the evil Japanese and the inhuman treatment delivered to the local population, in the framework of UNVIFOR operations. Action scenes on the shore will actually be filmed in Malacca due to the state of war existing in the actual area. Some ex-UNVIFOR soldiers will be cast as themselves.

The Japanese TV 7 is playing a TV series called "Blood and Guts". The TV series follows the adventures of three Japanese soldiers (Yamagata, Matsudaira, Saionji), who are friends, and their battles against the enemies in Vietnam, while later on the story evolves into a romantic drama, as one of them,Yamagata, becomes crippled in a battle in Vietnam and has to go back to Japan, where he is being taken care by the wife of Matsudaira and falls in love with her, betraying his friend, while Saionji falls in love with a Vietnamese girl and Matsudaira becomes friend and sworn brother with an Arab POW and tries his best to make sure that he is not killed. The series has become award-winning because of it's realistic representation of the brutal nature of war and the complex relationships between the characters. Of special note is Mr. Ahmet who plays the role of the Arab POW who becomes friend with Matsudaira and has caused some sympathy for the condition of Arabs POWs and has prompted the Japanese Government to improve the conditions of the Arab POWs.

The Oceanic empire announces a major change its political and territorial organization. From now, in order to respect the differences of the different ethnicities, the centralized Kingdom will be transformed into a federation. This seat and capital will remain in Nauru, city which will have a special status, like the now long gone Washington DC, in the times where the USA existed. The new regions will be:
-Nauru (capital)
-Micronesia, with capital in Guam.
-Melanesia, with capital in Honiara.
-Polinesia, with capital in Nukualofa.
-Hawaii and West Pacific, with capital in Honolulu.
The separation barely exceeds the administrative consequences, as the folk of all the kingdom are strongly nationalists of the empire they are part of.

After every expansion it will be decided if the new regions are annexed to an old one or if a new one will be created, which is the most probable case.

EDIT: East pacific, mistake

the Roman Ministry of entertainment has commissioned that a new film will be made about the invasion of Taiwan by Roman forces.

unusually, it places the Romans as the bad guys, and the Japanese as the good guys. its an entire movie following the villain, all the wayfrom Emperor Andreas planning out the invasion, approving it, going to vietnam, all the way to when the late Emperor Andreas was shot down in just minutes after Taiwan, and the Roman Military in the area is destroyed. it also includes a number of depressing shots of Roman ships sinking, soldiers dying or drowning, and the Constantinople in flames before sinking.

the Japanese would then find the body of the Emperor, identify him, and have him buried in full military honors in Kyoto. they were merciful, but the Romans wouldn't let them show mercy. in the end, the Japanese basically signed a white peace with the Empire, stating that the losses they suffered is punishment enough.

its obviously somewhat fictional, especially about the last part, but it shows that we were mistaken to go to war against Japan, thinking that we and the UN is strong enough to overcome it. we were not.

Independent Film Company The Hat on the Bicycle announces its intentions to make a film charting the life of a young man living in Caen right up to his eventual death at the hands of the meteorite. It will also include a section about the roast vegetable crisis of 2098 told through flashbacks to the man's youth. The film will be called Last train to Morocco

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Republic politely requests that Rome cease dragging the UN into its recent trend of self-victimization, especially since it cut all ties with UNVIFOR months ago. Constantinople may not be able to see beyond its badly-bloodied nose, but whatever spiritual crisis currently gripping Rome does not change the fact that the mission to Vietnam is presently a qualified success, and Japan is on the fast track to defeat in the larger war. Perhaps if the late Emperor Laskis had exercised better judgment and been more willing to co-operate with the international community, rather than embark on rash bids to assert himself as a leader of consequence, Rome might have received a reserve seat at the victory table instead of the spectatorial back-benches.

All trade agreements with New Rhodesia should either be cancelled or renewed to encompass [the African Federation].

The Amjad and El-Amin Provisional government official calls for Intervention in Libya from the UAR
While the original impetus has since evaporated of its own accord, Jerusalem will send three special forces regiments to assist in police operations and government security, in addition to whatever assistance Benghazi deems appropriate.

In related news, with Libya a de facto sovereign state and assuming no qualms from Benghazi, Jerusalem is lifting all travel restrictions on Mr. Abdulrashid, as the Platonic government on whose behalf they were originally instated no longer exists.

The UAR willing, the African Federation is willing to send aid, supplies and soldiers to help with relief efforts.
Jerusalem most warmly accepts the beneficence of its African brothers, noting that despite Rhodesia's decision to withdraw from the United Nations, it yet remains a committed member of the international community. We look forward to the day that the African Federation returns to the global forum.

In Entertainment news, the hit film Propaganda continues to hold the number one spot in ticket sales this month. The action-packed comedy romp stars Berndt Koester (Luftwaffles, Achtung Panzer Part 2) as Willy Linden, a sleazy pornography director on the run from five countries who all want him to direct a historical epic about the same battle. Koester shines alongside co-star Lennart Hummel as Roman spy and aspiring actor Elia Palumbo and reunites with comedic legend Hiltraud Buhr as the villainous Japanese Colonel Wakahisa. With special guest appearances by Placide Suess, Koloman Sternberg, and Claudia Hapsburg as herself, propaganda is "side-splitting comedy gold" and "a must-see summer blockbuster to put all other summer blockbusters to shame". In theaters for a limited time only!

no. you may have won at Vietnam, but Japan will not stop the war until every single one of its provinces are conquered. you have a *long* way to go, and your embargoing of any nation that co-operates with Japan may just cost you instead.

we chose to attack on another front, because it was our firm belief that the UN is unable to attack more than one front at a time. we turned out to be right, as they did not take the opportunity to invade Taiwan with us, assist china in liberating Japanese China, or even do something demoralizing to the Japanese, like the Doolittle Raid of 1942.

considering all we did was turn Taiwan into a fortress, and gave its navy a lot of experience, it might be a lot harder for the UN to invade Taiwan, much less Japan. maybe even impossible. had we stuck with you, we would have lost far more than just the entire expeditionary force.

besides, we are Romans. we wanted to be on the top. the center of civilization. we failed badly, and paid the price, and we shall not try again, even with co-operation with the UN.

A NEW BLOCKBUSTER MOVIE !
(tadum-tadum-tadum)
HOLD THE LINE!

With many other burgeoning nations expanding their Filming Industries and releasing many new box-office hits, the Indonesian government decides to join in the competition by launching the movie "Hold the Line !". The plot involves Indonesia, by staying inherently neutral in the war, grows so big and powerful that other nations including the UAR, PAU, and Japan feels that Indonesia has become a threat. In the 17th of August 2108, during the Indonesian independence, Indonesia successfully conducted a manned moon landing; which other nations think it was too far. Indonesia is now too great and glorious to be left alone. So suddenly, when families are celebrating the Independence Day in the streets, the UAR, PAU, Japan, Germany, and many other nations staged a joint invasion against Indonesia. Indonesia are surprised by the assault and were forced to defend themselves without preparations. Will they win, or shall Indonesian glory finally wane ?

The movie shall also include intriguing forbidden romance between German Empress Claudia and President Vivian DeArale.

(SPOILER: Indonesia will win, repel the assault, invade the invading countries and become world dominator.)

Oh no, you totally are. You got it completely wrong. It should have been the other way round.

100,000 men and 30 ships, not even including the Constantinople? they probably have more than that on Okinawa...

we admit that it was probably best to send a smaller force, but, in retrospect, that would give them an easier win. we simply sucked at tactics. not sending the Emperor wouldn't have made any difference. they still would have lost against a superior foe with superior technology, tactics, home field advantage, and size.

Of course the Constantinople should have been included. It's a matter of scale. Sending more people and more ships halfway across the world costs more in all ways. A gargantuan navy, including transports for 500k men, is as clumsy as navies get.
