WORLD EVENTS
NEW FRANCE PROCLAIMED. Paris, France. A coalition of Republican and Fascist leaders have established a new France, with the Emperor Napoleon VI as its leader. This new monarchy has promised to reunite France and end the communist threat. Even as English and USER forces loom over the fall of Free France, the new monarchy stands firm. Monarchists in Belguim have supported this new regime, as the new emperor is the brother of the exiting Belgain monarch.
SCOTTISH-AMERICAN AIR TESTS CONTINUE. Chicago, United States of America. Scotland and the USAs aeroplane experiments have yielded more fruit with the development of the new Warhawk fighter. This wooden-structured plane with improved piston engines are a leap from biplanes and seem to promise a new style of air war. The Scots and Americans remain at the forefront of this new field of science, even as the Italians, Austrians, and Mexicans all begin their own programs of aeroplane development. The Axis Alliance has also entered into the air development fad, as the Danes and Swedes lead the way into research.
END OF THE CENTRAL AMERICAN WAR. Vienna, Austria. The nations of England, the Netherlands, Haiti, and the United States of Central America have all signed the Treaty of Vienna, ending the conflict in Central America. Forces of France and Brazil have also withdrawn from the USCA, though they have not signed the treaty. The islands of the Galapagos and Peurto Rico have both been returned to the Central Americans. This concludes the bloodiest chapter in Central American history since the Mexican Civil War of 1862 1866.
NEW ALLIANCE FORMED AMID CRISIS. St. Petersburg, Russia. The Axis Alliance of Freedom has been formed, consisting of a multitude of nations, including Russia, Free France, Turkey, Greece, Persia, Sweden-Norway, Denmark, Haiti, and the United States of Central America. Mostly this in response to the growing strength of the Commitern, which absorbed a large part of the now defunct Atlantic Alliance, admitting Ireland, England, and Communist France into the alliance. Though crisis was averted over a blockade of Greece by USER ships, war threatens a clash of the Axis and Commitern as English and USER troops attack Free French forces and the Russians attack Plymouth sub pens.
GREEK ELECTION RESULTS. Athens, Greece. In a surprise result, the Greek Conservative Party achieved victory in this months elections. Though a narrow victory without a majority, the conservatives played on Socialist domestic failures and promised to take a tougher stance against the growing unrest caused communists in the factories.

NAVAL BATTLE OFF BRAZILS COAST. Peruvian Coast, Brazil. Several small warships returning from the war in the United States of Central America were sunk by unidentified submarines. One of the submarines is believed to have been sunk, but the nationality of the sailors is unable to be determined.

USER ANNEXES FRENCH AFRICA. Roma, USER. Roma has announced the annexation of the remaining French colonial possessions, left abandoned by the Parisian government. Though no violence has been reported, protests have been formed in St. Petersburg and other Axis capitals. Even the CSA and Canada have spoken out against what is viewed as unlawful action by the USER.
GERMANY DEVELOPS NEW TANK. Berlin, Germany. The Germans have announced the development of the Panzer II, a new medium tank that is believed to be superior even to the impressive Russian T-21, and is widely said to be superior to the Confederate Lee tank as well. The new tank fixes several armor problems with the Lee and the engine unreliability with the T-21.
RUSSIA DISBANDS CAVALRY. St. Petersburg, Russia. The Russian Army has announced the conversion of Russias seven cavalry divisions into regular infantry forces.
FRENCH COMMUNISTS DEVELOP GAS MASKS. Marseilles, France. French communist researchers have provided the Commitern with defense against the gas developed by the English during the war with the USCA.
CONFEDERATE ELECTION RESULT. Richmond, Confederate States of America. President Long has been defeated in his campaign for reelection, and the Socialist Party has lost its Congressional majority for the first time since 1906. President Forrest has promised a rise in Confederate power and a new era for the CSA. (+3% dissent)
ENGLISH ELECTION RESULT. London, England. Neville Chamberlain and the Socialist Workers Party have managed to gain a majority and England has a Socialist Party for the first time in its history. However its aggressive actions against France, failure to create a honourable treaty in the USCA, and general controversial standpoint have disillusioned many in the English Empire, causing exacerbation of nationalist ideals and growing unrest. This isnt helped by widespread belief that the Socialists rigged the election with USER help. (+30% Dissent)
PHILIPPENES GRANTED INDEPENDENCE. Manila, Philippines. The Filipinos have been granted freedom from Spain as of May 2, 1936. All of the islands have been unified, and the new nation has been construction of a modern military force.
CHAOS IN SPAIN. Madrid, Spain. Due to constantly changing politics and leaders, the economy of Spain has been thrown into utter confusion. No one is quite sure who is leading the nation and the economy has collapsed as a result. (+10% Dissent, unable to spend any IC for the next update, -1 IC per turn as well)
RUSSIAN COMPANY BEGINS TRADING WITH FREE FRANCE. St. Petersburg, Russia. Nero Inc, a major Russian trading company, has begun the sale of T-21 tanks to Free French business interests at cheap prices. How this may effect the war there is yet unknown as the tanks have not yet seen action.
FRENCH CIVIL WAR
COMMUNISTS GAIN BRIDGEHEAD ACROSS LOIRE. Communist French forces have forced a landing across the Loire River near Nantes against heavy Free French resistance. The attack was expected, and only by superior numbers were the Communists able to force a crossing. More information is unavailable at this time.

ENGLAND INVADES FRANCE. Cherbourg, France. English forces have invaded France, catching local Free French Army forces by surprise. Though the army was taken by surprise, the navy quick steamed to attack the very small British naval taskforce sent to support the landings. With the support of several Russian ships which were refueling in Brest, the French navy attacked and annihilated the surprised British task force in Cherbourg harbor. Several transports were sunk as well and nearly thirty thousand English soldiers are believed to have been drowned in the Channel. In addition, brutal English tactics against French civilians have angered not only France, but English citizens as well. Popular opinion in England is that it is a poor excuse for a war against Englands ally in the fight against Central America. (unrest included in the +30% Dissent above)

TEXAN-CONFEDERATE WAR
SEIGE OF DALLAS CONTINUES. Dallas, Texas. Texan forces continue to remain penned in Dallas as Confederate artillery shells the city. Casualties grow every day as the Texas Army continues attempts to break out and disease rages rampant among the civilian and military populations of the city.

CONFEDERATES CONTINUE WESTWARD ADVANCE. Corpus Christi, Texas. Both Corpus Christi and Lubbock have fallen to the Confederate onslaught as Pattons armies continue their advance to the Rio Grande. With Texan armies on the run, the final tanks in the Texan possession have been destroyed in a pitched battle east of Lubbock. Despite the successes, strong Texan trench defenses have caused a temporary halt of the Confederate army just short of the Rio Grande. The Confederate Cavalry Corps has been devastated as a result of Texan delaying actions and the new Texan lines.
