This senseless loss of life in the French civil war has gone on too long. Thus I am offering a possible alternative to war. Allow a ceasefire to stand amongst the French nation. Within four months (October) if the ceasefire still holds we have an election. All parties, Imperialists, Democrats, Fascists and Communists will be allowed to contest these elections. Oberservers from the Axis will be invited to observe ballot boxes in the Communist controlled part of France, Committern oberservers in the Imperialist controlled part of France The repsresentatives elected would then construct the new constitution and then have fresh elections in Feburary of next year for the first French Legistlaure.

I pleadge that the USER would stand by the results of such an election and that through the ballot box and giving the French people a voice we will return peace to their shattered lands.

Free France would naturally accept the proposal, as long as the results of the elctions will be universally-accepted (i.e. the new government will united all of France and be recognized as the official government).

Sorry I thought I already stated thats how it would be. However we do need that ceasefire first and we wish to see it continue until October when the actual elections will be held to allow for campaigning throughout France.

There will be no re-election held in England until the English rebels calling themselves Free put down their arms. They are in rebellion with the legally elected government. The USER will back the legally elected government as its an ally of the USER in the Committern. England remains democratic and the Free English are only damaging the right of the common citizen to have their voice at the ballot box by continuing this rebellion.

That is a serious blame. Where is your proof? We knew this imperialism of yours was just a matter of time before it was shown. We are sending observers to Cuba. You are in no position to forbid the travel of people to wherever they like to be. A refusal to let dutch citizens enter Cuba will result in actions. Or is there something you need to hide on Cuba? Will the election be rigged? We cannot know this unless there are observers.

We recognise Cuba to be temporarily under your jurisdiction until the election is held. During this time we recognise the right of the USCA to forbid the entry of any person into Cuba or the refusal of a visa to anyone wishing entry to Cuba. This includes observers from nations such as the Netherlands that were recently at war with yourself. We will however take exception to the refusal of any observer that comes from a nation where no reason exists to refuse them. We know you have not done this yet and we merely state this as a warning that while we support you in the Dutch case we will not give this support unqualified.

Will you accept an immediate cease fire, so we can begin the campaigning for the October election for the constitution convention at the start of next month.

thius coming turn will be july. So it will not be this update or the one after, but the second one after that that France becomes unified again. If you were to go to war it would probably take longer. At least this way I am giving you a chance to help get some support in the south and I am doing the same in the north.

Politicans from both sides are not to be hindered from crossing the ceasefire line to campaign. Local officals will be held accountable to international observers from the Axis and Committern to ensure that this does not happen.
