King Kheti, Ruler of all Aegypt, was a man who realised the importance of winning the people over. If he wanted his Kingdom to prosper, for it to become richer in both ideals and ability. He must set an example and guide it well. He sought to regain the prosperity of the last Golden Age of Aegypt. The Kings of Tantamani, Asmasis, Legends, myths, they were the basis to the Ctha'r' beginnings.

Symbolism was important, it always was, and Kheti sought a new symbol for a new age, new glories. Or perhaps an old symbol. That would come later.

His first moves were private, he concentrated on himself. He was a Divine Guide, he must prepare himself for the task ahead.

First he declared war on himself, on his habits, his decadence. He was not old, but neither was he young, he had enjoyed women, drugs, wine. These were not traits the he wished to have associated with himself, they were hooks and lures that enemies could use to bring him down. He removed them, mastered them. He was in control.

He fought in himself, the traits that paralysed him, his fears, his worries. He took action, wether it was right or wrong, he did it, he made mistakes. And learned. He watched his various court members with veiled disdain as he took note of the sychophants, the yes men, and those who proved themselves by their actions.

He sought unique solutions to his problems each time, expanding his mind, letting himself become creative, but limiting it to within reality, or rather his experiance of reality. He exposed himself to conflict, he hardened his mind to it, kept his presence of mind, he would not get bogged down in the meaningless details, but neither would he be overblown by the grand vision.

Lastly he kept himself restless, unsatified. Never allowing himself to revert to what he was. He entered new circles, then changed when he was able to conquor them, understand them.

He was now ready to expand.

He created prodigee's, they who understood his goals, Greatness, Glory. First he played his court. Imagine a room of red dots and white dots, and inbetween different shades of pink. Kheti isolated the reds from each other, surrounded them in whites, till they began to turn pink. The pinks he surrounded with other pinks of various shades, and left in charge a white. It was a dance. And they became pure.

The few that turned from red to white immediatly were removed, sycophants.

These white dots, those who followed his ideals, his visions he let loose upon the rest of the country, so that the various cities became efficient, the endless palaces of Gold were emptied, what use is Gold if it merely sits their? What does a King require of Gold, everything, but it is not beautifull, it was a tool.

The King introduced new reforms, The cities Prospered, and the people began to notice a change.

It was now time to focus them on a symbol.

King Kheti, had known of the troubles that had befallen the Black Onyx Pyramids, and he had attempted to solve the problem. An earthquake had struck the region, merely a tremor, but the Black Marble cap to the pyramid had fallen off.

You could hear a grown spread through the nation as news of this event travelled throughout Aegypt. Kheti had ordered the work-teams to reaset the cap out of his own money. And the work-crews had set to work.

A month later however, the work was not done, due to problems with the workcrews. They said the pyramids was haunted, by angry souls, or rather angry Tantamani. Not many people want to deal with an angry Hero.

King Kheti approached the pyramid. With him was a small suffusion of pinks, and a couple of whites. The whites smiled and kept silent, the pinks worried that King Khetis actions would put them at risk.

"I will enter the Pyramid, and confront this spirit, I will ease it. As Gods Chosen representative it is within my power," Kheti announced.

The pinks grew pales, deathly silent, the whites nodded, it needed to be done. The Workcrews seemed happy, they had faith in their King.

King Kheti approached the seal to the pyramid. Held out a palm and pushed. The seal turned to dust. Kheti entered in a rain of sand.

Minutes turned to hours, and the pink's the gaggle of men became ever more agitated, one of the pinks began to approach the door. A white slapped him and pulled him back.

"With what authority do you approach this ancestral tomb? Are you related? Do you hear your ancestors calling out to you? No? Well then do not enter, it would be sacrilige for yourself to enter King Kheti's ancestor's tombs. You can be of no help in there,"

It was nearing sunset when King Kheti exited the tomb, he was pale, and sweaty, as if he had undergone great tasks of hardship. In his hands he carried a green clothed bundle. He unwrapped it.

The Suns setting rays bounced off of it. It sparkled coppery Gold.

"This is my ancestors Sword, this is Tantamani's Sword, and by this sword I will lead Aegypt,"

OOC: Technically, it was Asmasis's sword, but his myth is mostly folded into Tantamani's. And yes the swords arn't the same duh. Its a fakes its actually fairly modern sword. Its amazing what trickery etc can do ya :p

Cool stories Kal!

But I didn't get the red/pink/white bits. Could you explain that part?

Yeah I thought I skimped the explanation for that.

Ok at court you have the whites, and the reds. These are the two opposing ideologies (well I could have had more than two, but that makes stories more complex, and thats not meant to be the point!). What you do is you isolate a red, that person is now surrounded by whites, White ideas are thrown at them all the time. They begin to come around to these ideas, they turn pink. These pinks don't require such management (once down the path of changing its easy point is getting them to change, convincing them is hard). These pinks are nutured to full whiteness by one other white. Then these are all whites, they get to nurture other reds etc.

And iggy do you really not have AIM or MSN?

Orders sent....and Kalthazar your stories disturbed me what with finding these mythic swords and all, so I increased my garrison along my borders with you....

Well if that makes you happy *shrug*.

Yes it makes me extremely happy. So don't try anything...I have my eye on you. I know the reform>buildup>nationalisim/excuse>invasion routine, I've done it plenty of times myself.
