Influx of New Info

Three things I'd like to point out about how Religion works

Founding Pantheon costs/resets faithc ounter (in the IGN Demo, once he picked his Pantheon belief his faith count went to 1)
Spawning the FIRST Great Prophet resets the faith counter to 0 (as seen in PAX demo)
Any further Prophets do not reset the counter (in The IGN demo, his faith count stayed at 170 (i think, hard to say).

Are the official names of the Maya uniques 'Long Count Calendar' and 'Pyramid' (if so, can someone point me to the interview where this was shown) or are those just descriptive and the official names aren't known?

This if rom the IGN HD Video discussion.

From screenshots, so official.

The name "Pyramid" is confirmed in a screenshot. The name of the Mayan UA is not directly confirmed; all we know for sure is that there was a notification that read "Maya Long Count Bonus" in the IGN video.

I'd also be nice if info from older was included, but for now only the new spam of articles is useful.
You mean like this? :D

Info from German screenshots, found in this thread:

  • Salt is a new luxury
  • Neuschwantein gives you +3 :c5gold: , +2 :c5culture: and +1 :c5happy: for every castle
  • Dutch UA has been changed, now you keep only 50% :c5happy: from traded away luxuries
  • The Celtic UA: +1 Faith for every city bordering an unimproved forest tile. The bonus increases too +2 for cities that have 3 or more unimproved forest tiles bordering them.

chad: That information is at the 2K forums if nowhere else.

Art: Ah, I can add that, if you like. Neuschwantein seems... really good?

Maybe we'll get to see something of Byzantium finally. It's surprising how we know less about Byzantium than of Sweden, who had been only revealed some weeks ago. I really hope we'll get some info on them.

Let's see what I can add looking at the Tech Tree:

The Classical Era is two columns thick. Currency and Engineering have been moved into it (appropriately, imo). Drama and Poetry is a new tech and there appears to be a new medieval tech after Currency (total guess: Guilds). Tech paths have changed (I'm using Arioch's page for the tech tree, so I don't know if it's out of date). Philosophy requires Writing and Calendar, HBR requires Trapping and Animal Husbandry. The Wheel requires Archery, so Math no longer explicitly requires it (same path).

Circus Maximus moved to Horseback Riding. New building under Pottery.

We know Ballistics is a new Tech, (wel,l semi-new, it's present in the files atm), wonder if Patronage, Publishing and Calculus will make their appeareance as well.

This comes out the day before my 64th birthday...what a SUPER birthday present! (happydance):bday:

[*]The Celtic UA: +1 Faith for every city bordering an unimproved forest tile. The bonus increases too +2 for cities that have 3 or more unimproved forest tiles bordering them.

I know I'm going to be crucified for saying this, but I wonder if the AI for Automating Workers will be coded to not remove/improve forests. I never really expirimented with that while playing the Iroquios.

Himeji Castle not under Bushi^H^H^H^H^H Chivalry. (Seriously, Himezi Shiro would be much nicer.)

 I don't get this. Could somebody please enlighten me?
