Yes, YOU'RE PINK! Course you're screwed. Logic! Besides that, you have one Ancient Zeus cavalry in middle of your territory...

I have seen some messy civs before but this is as bad as I have seen an AI that hasn't been nuked. The Japanese are causing quite a bit of global warming but I suppose its not there fault they cannot make peace(they have been at war with Russia for at least 80 turns).

That's pretty bad, but that war is no excuse for all of that pollution! You ought to throw off the balance of power just to solve the polution problem!

Now, why couldn't have I started on THIS side of the island?

Holy cows! It's almost worth abandoning your way over to that side to be there.

Is it just me or am I seeing quadruple half the time and like octuple part of the time too in this screenshot? That's what seems most odd to me.

Nice find on Lord Emsworth's part, too.

I have another candidate for Worst City Location Ever. Found it while pre-alpha testing a scenario the other day.

At least I didn't have to worry about that rival.

 It was one of those games where I was testing out the idea of an cavalry coastal guard. Strangely the AI kept landign there until I lined that area with fortified cavalry.

Multi-unit graphics are available in C&C

This sid-AW attemp seems to be going fine. I was the first to get map making, and soon my dromons will rule the seas.
After I will get TGL, only mongols will be able to reach me before astronomy, but I guess the game will end before that.
No AI knows alphabet yet.

Spoiler :
Look at the date. I wanted "a bit" slower tech pace, so I edited a rules a bit to maximize tech costs. I might have increased "a bit" too much :p

Well, I made my own "scenario" which is really just C3C but with Canada and Israel.

Hey Ethan, I see you seem to have made the Numbian Mercs available to the Hebrews too. If you'd like a civ-specific unique unit and haven't got one already this one would probably work pretty well. Also, R8XFT made a King David LH. Just in case you didn't know about them. :)

Hey, thanks a lot! I'll use that one next time. I was just trying to see if it would work for one quick, fun game, so I had a generated map and erased Carthage to put Israel in. If I do put some thought into it at some point, I'll definitely use that!

3 cows not really improved and a courthouse in the capital. Can you say newbie?

What Spoonwood tries to say, is Try to ALWAYS connect your towns.

If you see a cow, water(irrigate) and road it ASAP.

You need more workers, try to get atleast 1 per town

Capital does not need courthouse, if courthouse 50% decrease of corruption does not bring 3-4 shields or 3-5 gold back, it is useless (capital has almost 0 corruption).

Also, you don't need entertainment in every town, aslong as you have "neutral" town its good.
Neutral = example one: 3 neutral citizens, example 2: 1 Happy, 3 neutral, 1 unhappy [you may add specialist here]

(just tips)

Yes. Can you?
I'm well aware of the "No-Corruption-Capital" rule. I was heading off to go out, and I just pressed enter for every building recommendation that appeared. As for the cows, I appreciate the tip. I'll remember that.

You also don't need 12 defenders in your capital. 3 will do fine. ;)

In fact, for later on when you've expanded outwards a bit and your capital is not near an enemy border, you can often get away with no defenders at all, saving a bit of money or allowing a few more free offensive units. ???shon LeZion seems like that it might be able to get by with no defenders, except for military police. BTW, why are you still in Despotism in the Middle Afes?

Actually, I've been meaning to ask for tips on that despotism thing.
I would very much like to switch to Monarchy, but because I have so many towns (I think eight) I start to lose money per turn. Is there somewhere I can find a basic strategy guide?

Tip: Make your military smaller. :p

Theov posted a guide to governments in the War Academy. From the looks of the map, you've got more than 8, well, settlements. If 8 of them are towns, try to get those up to cities. Consider using a worker pump to get enough workers out there and to provide some workers to add to those towns. Also, get some markets up both for the happiness and cash. And start disbanding any units that: (1) aren't giving you any content faces; and (b) aren't either attacking or defending something. That will help cut down your unit costs.

I've started a new game as the Ottomans and I have a Monarchy going. I'm in the beginning middle ages. However, my military is considered "weak" compared to my neighbours and it's already costing me three gold/turn. Help?
