Into The Future

Alright, here is the update. The screenshots have got me kinda confused:confused:, so I'm not sure if everything will be in the exact order that it happened, but maybe this will be the long update finally.

Spoiler :
Although relations between the US and Fascist Turkey had been strained, things seemed to have gotten better, and the Turkish leaders even had some kind words for US diplomats.

But only time will tell if this is legitimate and if the Turks are not merely feigning friendship.

But relations remained strained with Communist Siam, who did not like the Russo-American alliance.

And then, the United States received the shocking news that France had once again declared war, evidently determined to destroy the US once and for all.
2012-10-01_00007_zpsdfbbbb0c.jpg

The US was beginning to think that the French leadership had a strange fanaticism about them. This was the fourth time they had attacked the US.

The French quickly launched offensives on both fronts. On the eastern front, the French attacked pretty heavily, and nearly broke through the American lines, but American forces barely held on to the position in the mountain pass, preventing the French from reaching Tyre.

And on the western front, the French army attempted a pretty big offensive.

But although outnumbered, the Americans had better equipment, experienced troops, and giant robotic machines that were very deadly. The fighting in the area lasted for several years, but the French attack was slowly but surely beaten back.

And in the war against the Aztecs, the US finally began the assault on it's former city Ningbo. With aerial bombardment and the American army assaulting the city, it was taken after a lengthy siege.

In the war against France, the French tried making landings on both the northern and southern ends of the eastern front.

Although the American forces took some losses with these attacks, the French were beaten back once again.

The US also noticed some French naval movement of the American coast.

But the American navy stationed at Poitiers dealt with this threat to homeland security.

The American allies, Geneva and Tyre, were also involved in this conflict against France.

Perhaps realizing their cause was lost on the western front, the French decided to attack the city of Chartres, where their uranium from the third war had been based.

But with the superior American missile artillery devastating their numbers and the American navy joining in the fight, the French quickly retreated.

Back on the Aztec front, with assistance from the US fleet, the US began attacking the city of Yangzhou.

This city was also taken.Shortly thereafter, a well trained general arrived to take command of the American forces.

On the western French front, after destroying most of the French army, two American robots, now stood on the very door of the French capital.

Although a straggler group of French troops made their way deep into former French territory, they were hunted down by an American armor division.

Around Paris, the American robots were anihilating what was left of the French army.

At the same time, the American army had begun the offensive on the eastern front.

Although the French offered a cease fire, the US refused and was determined to make France no longer a threat to world security.

Although the French were outnumbered and seemingly defeated, Paris would not fall easily. But after taking the city of Marseille on the eastern front, the American army converged in from both sides.

Thanks to their crazed and evil leaders, the citizens of Paris, on the New Year's Day of that year 2100, did not wake up to celebratory fireworks, but instead to the American army pouring down missile fire onto the city.

The city was taken by mid January, and the French President was captured.

He was urged to tell the French people to surrender, but only time would tell if they would listen...

That's a harsh evisceration of Nappy... I mean, yeah he did all that warring, but that doesn't seem worth the price of confining him to just one city where he can't fight back.

;)

He just kept coming back, like the "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!", that we were talking about in another thread.

played what?

and nice how you killed the French! If they are your neighbors, they threaten your existence.

played what?

Huh?What do you mean by that?

I didn't kill them, and even though I'm still at war with them, I probably won't completely kill them.I'll probably just leave them pretty weak.

Awesome story, KoreanPresident!

Thanks!Don't remember seeing you comment here before.Glad you like it, though.

on page 9, you said you already played that. played what?

Oh.I meant I had played the update.I just had not put it up yet.

Sorry about that.:D

its ok. my next chapter came out, explaining how Elizabeth got beat down. Assuming all goes well tomorrow, expect a massive war chapter!

I haven't been active on the Civ V forums much in over a year. It seems like everything in this forum now is a Let's Play. I'm glad to see a good read:goodjob:.

If you mean a history read like this, yeah, I like doing history things, and I'm glad you like it.

Mike III here and JetStream also have stories in a history book like format.Check them out too if you like.

I'm back from a long absence due to school and mid-terms, but only for a short period. I've caught up with the thread, and I must admit, I like where this is going. Something tells me that in the end, there will be two major superpowers: the Americans and the Ottomans, and all the other Civs will reduced to pretty much City-State status. Really looking forward to the next update! This story just keeps getting better and better!

Thanks.Glad to see you're back.:)I noticed you had not posted here in a while.

Right now it looks like me and Japan may take Monty down a notch, where perhaps he will no longer be a superpower.I don't know if we'll go that far or not, but it's possible. But even if we did, that would probably mean that Japan would be more powerful than ever. Then it would mainly be me, the Ottomans, and Japan as the three world superpowers.Heh, if that happened there would be one superpower for each of the three late game paths-Freedom, Autocracy, and Order.

it seems like a nuclear war will be happening between you and the powers. have you ever found out world politics in civ 5 is one big soap opera?

I wonder if it will inevitably come down to a nuclear Haulocaust with the Ottomans.I'm not sure how many nukes he has though. If he did attack, it would probably, at the least, be a terrible war.

a new chapter came out if you didnt read it yet

I think I saw it, didn't read it right then, and then forgot about it.But I'll go read it right now.

Yes, I've been absolutely bogged down with school, and there's no end in sight!!

In any case, I hope that the continuation of this comes out soon!
