Sorry, not an update, but I thought this might be one of the best places to say this.I'm thinking about getting a name change.Just a heads up to anyone who knows me on here.

Happy New Year, everyone!Here's the next update.

After the decision of the US to tolerate the Ottoman occupation of Songhai territory, the US began the final push to capture Bactra and secure a buffer zone around Persia.With air support and missile artillery fire, the siege began.

The Aztecs showed little resistance, except for a few mechanized infantry divisions that were easily held off by American forces.

Eventually the US Eastern Fleet also joined the siege, and American forces continued the siege from both the north and south.

Although the siege lasted for months, the American army was slowly beating the city down.And finally, in an ending similar to the end of the Third French-American War, American forces captured the city.

Shortly thereafter, peace negotiations with the Aztecs began.The US ended up accepting a flat peace treaty with the Aztecs, which finally ended the years long war that had devastated the northeastern part of the continent.

Celebrations rang out throughout America and her allies that the war was finally over, and for the first time in years, America was at peace.

But it was uncertain as to how long this peace would last.Tensions between the US and the Ottomans continued.And during the American campaign to capture Bactra, the Ottomans, shortly after overrunning Songhai lands, continued their push by declaring war on Russia, which greatly alarmed the US.It seemed the Ottomans wanted to conquer the whole eastern part of the northern continent.Ottoman forces quickly began advancing.

And the Ottomans were one of the reasons the US was in such a hurry to end the Aztec War.Although some American leaders wanted the war against the Aztecs to continue, most agreed that America's attention needed to be in the western hemisphere, to watch Turkish aggression.

So America finally transitioned into an era which many hoped would experience years of peace.But with Ottoman aggression continuing, it was wondered by some if another war was imminent....

This is a kinda mini update to follow up the last one.

Now that the war with the Aztecs was finally over, the United States hoped to be able to watch and possibly counter Ottoman aggression without being distracted by another war.

Although the US had hoped that the Aztecs would agree to pay for the damage they had done during the war, the US had not carried the war far enough to make the Aztecs afraid enough to agree to those terms.And with the Ottoman declaration of war on Russia, the US did not wish to continue the negotiations any longer.

So America entered an era of peace.And yet even in this peace, there were constant tensions with the Great Turkish superpower.

The US still feared a possible attack on two fronts from Siam and the Ottomans.Siam kept a fairly large military force around their border with the US.Even before the end of the Aztec War, the US had begun a military buildup to counter any possible Siamese aggression in the south.

The US also began a military buildup at Chicago, which had come fairly close to being captured by Siam in the last war with them.

America was able to support this new military buildup with a possibly unprecedented economic boom in American history.

Thanks, but what do you mean?I have a good bit of aluminum, although I am getting some from a city state.Do you just mean I don't have much in my home country?

I just checked all the pictures where you could see resources in the last two updates, and I didn't find any where I didn't have any aluminum.

He may have the "complete kills" option checkmarked. I use it sometimes so that I can found cities for civs that should be dead, just for kicks and giggles.

It's been a long time since I started this game, but I think I did turn on complete kills.I don't do that much anymore.
