I disagree partly in that the internet is free anyway, I've never seen this space have any conditions forced upon it, it simply goes where it will by concensus. If the intobang isn't on our keyboards now since it's inception it most likely never will be. Esperanto is a fine example of where language goes. Just by being here now we see this, our language has evolved exponentially since the internets birth, but no one has ever dictated where the it goes, it just ends up in the most commonly held place. Ok 1337 is probably a little useless, but it amuses people. evolution of language stands or falls on survival of the fittest.
