I would like to ask what races are playable. Will I also be able to make a technocratic goblin High Priesthood? :p
I want to play as a race based on technology,so the perfect race for me would be trolls?

You could a goblin and troll nation, for mixing be a glory. ;)

Playable races are goblins, trolls, orcs, fairies, kobolds, ghouls: garuda, naga, oni, tlaloc, troglodytes, imps, lycanthrope, necrite and aerions.

You can be a technological goblin power or a technological goblin and troll power or a technological goblin, troll and kobold power or a goblin power that is very cosmopolitan.

You can be technocratic goblin High Priesthood! Goblins tend to lack restraint due to their id but you can make fun of this for great justice and lead a powerful power! :D

The High Technalate of Kunohir

Capital: Kunohir

Government: High Priesthood

Race: Trollobins

Current Ruler: High Technocrat Kineuck "The Innovative"

Species Description:A Kobold entrepreneur once thought that by forcibly mixing Goblins and Trolls he would create the perfect slaves for him in order to gain absolute power and wealth.Little did he know that the sentient creatures he created resulted in a colourful, tall and strong race.Later on,these creatures killed him and having lived with the advanced technology the Kobolds offered, they took it all and began their own research, while being organised in a priesthood based around on the blessing and research of new technologies. However, they are quick to anger and since they are the only trollobins in the world, they are diplomatically isolated by both trolls and goblins alike.Meanwhile, because of the slow reproductive system of the trolls, they had few children and it would have to take extreme efforts to see an increase in the general population.

I seem to be having some issues with adding colors to the map, so my claims are in black. Assume it's a pretty deep red.
Also, I'm going to open up a Nahuatl dictionary on this one, because...
The Tlaloc Alliance
Current leader: Cecmiqui Huecalpixqui IV
Current holdings:
Spoiler :
0cSvCMR.png

Capital: Tlatocacalli
Government: Collection of Tlaloc cities turned Empire.
Spoiler History :

"In the beginning, there was naught but One. His name was Iztlacatini. He shaped the world by looking upon the Calendar, or Tonalamatl. He realized that the Tonalamatl was empty and without meaning. So he collected the first of the spirits and told them that the world was to be theirs, provided they shaped it. They did, but decided to argue over who would recieve the Earth. The spirits split up. Some formed their own groups, as the Tetlanochili (goblins) or Tlacatecolotl (orcs). The Leader of these men, Tlaloc, formed his own tribe and his progeny would found the Alliance." - The Prologue of Race of the Amatl Codex, a history of the Tlaloc Empire
--
The Tlaloc Alliance was founded many a year ago by Itauhcayotl Huecalpixqui. He assembled a group of Tlaloc towns and began rule as emperor. A few rules have been made by this more centralized groups, in regards to such things as titles and naming. Emperors may take names which are different from their birth name. This functions as a way to glorify one's actions.
"
  1. That the Huecalpixqui may rule over the Tlaloc and none else may rule over the Tlaloc.
  2. That the Huecalpixqui is to change his name to one fitting of the ruler of the Tlaloc
  3. That only the grand mages of the Huecalpixqui may perform public magic.
  4. That no man shall be a man until his enemy lies dead at his feet.
  5. That the will of the Huecalpixqui be observed throughout the realm; and that all may share his opinion
" - The first five articles of the Iztlacmitl, the binding semi-constitution of the Tlaloc Alliance
The Alliance is by nature only xenophobic if it's emperor wills it to be (as stated by article V of the Iztlacmitl), but the third article simultaneously states that Tlaloc society stays in a permanent state of feuds and undeclared war on a personal level, and it is rumored that every village and town has a Book of Feuds, so murders cannot go unrecognized.
"Tizocicatzin was found to have used sorcery to kill his enemy, but did so in public. He is to be fined the value of 600 of Iztlacatini's Plant or the equivalent in lashes. Should he refuse this punishment he is to be sentenced to death by exile." - A statement issued by the Office of Feuds, 5/8/43/1/12 in the Tlaloc Calendar
The Tlaloc currency is based on Iztlacatini's Plant, what we would consider a combination of Cocoa beans and tobacco leaves. It's ritual and political implications are immense. 600 of these beans could buy you a household's worth of slaves.
The Calendar, or Tonalamatl is divided into the following categories:
day/month/year/"chimalli"/century since the supposed creation of the world.
In the example above, the record was created 5 days, 8 months, 43 years, 1 chimalli and 12 centuries after the supposed creation of the world.
A chimalli is a religious unit of time that lasts 43 years.
The year is divided up into 11 months of 33 days, with the last two days and first three days of a year considered the time of Iztlacatini. During those days, the country enters a time of complete anarchy, as this is the time feuds are settled - always violently to complete the rite of manhood.
Note that the rite of manhood only makes one eligible for governmental employment.
Naturally bureaucracy is very limited as half the potential government workers are dead every year. It's a wonder the country can survive.
--
Religiously, Tlaloc society is Dualist at times and Monotheistic at others. Sometimes Iztlacatini is the same thing as Tonalmatl, sometimes they are different. There is no real concept of evil, with Iztlacatini being a trickster god.

and since I feel it's only fair to make the correlations between the country and real life mesoamerica clear:
Spoiler :
The calendar and language should be pretty obvious.
The currency is based on the value Aztecs and Mayans put on Cocoa beans.
Also, a warrior wasn't considered a man until he'd captured enough men according to the Aztecs, so there's that.
The imperial name of the current emperor is "death by cold", the first emperor is "heroic".
Chimalli means "shield".
Iztlacmitl means "poisoned arrow".
Iztlacatini is roughly equivalent to "trickster god" or "false god".
Amatl means "paper".

OOC: I hope this is okay, since I basically built up Tlaloc culture from nothing. If it contradicts anything, just say so.

OOC:Is this accepted? :p

I don't know how to react... although I have to point out that trolls are the opposite of goblins when it comes to breeding, so I do not think we will have trollobins with goblin breeding styles. ;)

I must thank you: this looks good. :)

I will change that part then.

How many orders are we allowed to have? Also rwhat level of technology is everyone?

The former will depend on the situation: generally speaking there will a general public order as well as diplomatic responses to consider... as well any battle tactics and adventure considerations to take.

For technology: the setting is late Medieval, with the likelihood of gunpowder being discovered around the early stages of the game being a notable consideration.

Bio: On the way!

Creations of the Mortwrights
A Treatise on the Unholy Constructs Fielded by the Armies of the Wight King of Formont

By Herret, former Baron of Kilrien

In the final weeks of our war against Marret we mortals of Formont had been forced behind the walls of our castles. Although we knew that we could not hold out against a siege by the un-dead we hoped that we may be relieved by the forces of our neighbours who would be outraged by the rise of a necromancer in Formont. When the Wight King revealed his dark engines we knew the war was lost. Although many of my friends and allies were captured and slain I managed to escape, though it cost the lives of many loyal soldiers, to pass what knowledge I had of the un-dead to the world so Marret may be destroyed. Here I shall tell of the engines of war that were arrayed against us.

Ballistae - I only saw these used once, as I made my escape. The creatures that are twisted into these weapons are bent double, their arms lengthened and bulked up, their elbows fused. A thick tendon runs from wrist to wrist and a tail like protrusion emerges from the base of its spine. Its head is non-existant, its face is embedded into its shoulders where the neck on a normal man would be, allowing it look directly at its target. When loaded it bends its arms back and loops the tendon over its 'tail' and the 'bolt' climbs onto its back and nestles in a groove along its spine between the oversized muscles there.
The bolt itself is a gruesome thing, a man stripped of nearly all flesh with its bones squeezed into a spear. Its limbs are nearly non-existent, suitable for little more than climbing into the ballista.
When the ballista looses the 'tail' releases the tendon and the 'bolt' is send flying and quite literally screaming towards the target. Few who are struck survive and those that do fall soon rise again.

Siege-ladders - These creatures resemble at first glance a great serpent. Their lengthy bodies and exposed ribs hint at their true purpose. They approach the wall and use their long arms to grasp the rampart and haul themselves up.
Then the common Necrites swarm up the great creature's back and over its head to storm the rampart.

Cannon - When I first saw these bloated creatures crawl to the front of the Necrite lines I was incredulous that they could ever be useful in any war. Being large and slow they would be easy pickings for my archers and lacked any obvious means to attack so I ordered my men to ignore them, thinking them to be a distraction. I was wrong. The Necrites feed the creature a great amount of food and depending on the intended target various sizes of boulder, large to breach a gate or wall, smaller when targeting groups of soldiers. The creature is then prompted to regurgitate its meal at high speed, sending its stomach contents towards the target at incredible speeds, doing great damage to whatever it strikes and often spreading the infestation as well.

Great Necrites - Although not an analogue of a siege engine used by mortal armies the Great Necrites are a highly effective component of a Necrite siege. They retain human form but are ten times the size of a man and as strong as that implies. They are used to break down doors, scale walls, throw boulders and even other Necrites to infiltrate the fortress.

Dread Ships - Although they are not siege engines and I only saw them a few times from a distance the vessels of the Wight King bear mentioning. Whether they be used for transporting soldiers or making war on the sea, the Dread Ships are capable vessels indeed. Formed from a single enormous Necrite they are self propelled with fins that were presumably once hands and feet. When the wind is right they can erect a mast and sail. Although the size of the vessels varies, presumably depending on the age of the Necrite, the largest I saw could easily carry a hundred Necrites or several of their larger siege weapons.

And while you were all wondering what was up with the necrites, the Tlaloc suddenly started to get a proper language!

The Tlaloc Language; taken from a human wanderer's journals
"The peoples of the south, who are called the Tlaloc, have an interesting language. They have a tendency to speak in what, to an outsider, appear to be mystic ways, using two words - a notably Tlaloc thing to to, as it saves time.
It is important to note that the Tlaloc language is written differently than the common languages make it out to be. This is, for example, evident in the name Tlaloc itself. Whereas we name them the Tlaloc, they name themselves the Tlalo''tsiin, what a foreigner would indeed pronounce "Tlalocutzin" and from that on "Tlaloc". Although some words appear to be from an ancient language there are some "modernisms", if I may use the term, or words created for religious purposes. As an example, the five days of anarchy, by us called the Days of Iztlacatini, are to a Tlaloc the Ztla''tii ''aal, which is then made more pronounceable to us as Iztlacatini Qatal. From this, it may seem that Tlalocutzin, for that is the preffered adjective, is a primitive language, but especially the sounds are complex. Take the '', which in our languages can be depicted as ca, co, cu, ce, qo, qu, qa and qe. As such, a word like Boar (''pa''ili) can seem daunting to the beginner, but in reality, it is easy. The sound is pronounced "cuh" as in "curtain".
For posterity, I shall now show a record of grain farming from outside the main city of Chimalli in our tongue:
"The 5th farm from the left has in the 2nd chimalli produced an average of 50 bushels per week following the owner's death."
In Tlalocutzin:
"''antasuumo''tl ''tiisi ti''nal tsiimai ''aali ''tiisi-ana''otl iisa''tii tsumaan tlalo''siitl."
Or in a way more understandable to us:
"Qantazumocotl catizi ticunatl chimalli coatli catizi-anaceotl izacotli tzumen tlalocuzitl"
But how does this translate into our tongue directly?
"Left-farm ("Qanta-zumucotl") five second chimalli wheat five-ten a week death of owner."
Now a man may realize the serious lack of verbs in this sentence. It does not seem to bother Tlalocutzin. These are indeed a strange people."

Some notes:
the '' is based on Xhosa's clicks.
I've invented a few words:
Spoiler :
  • Tlalocutzin
  • Qatal
  • Tzumen
  • Qupacotili
  • Qanta
  • Zumucotl
  • Qatizi
  • Ticunatl
  • Coatli
  • Anaceotl
  • Izacotli
  • Tlalocuzitl
- Coatli is based on the name of an Aztec deity
- Qatal in pronunciation in Tlalocutzin is similar to how Pacal pronounces his name in Civ V
- Tzumen is dangerously close to Terry Pratchett's Tezuman Empire. and all subconciously.

I always thought nobody needed verbs. or adjectives.
I'm having too much fun with this language.

Does your nation have a race Civ'ed, or am I just dense and haven't noticed? :p

Does your nation have a race Civ'ed, or am I just dense and haven't noticed? :p

He is playing as a Tlaloc power.

By the way: I am wondering if NPCs should be considered or not to help provide more fillings in the map and more interaction. If yes I can use it to give the underrepresenated species and certain aspects some form of representation. If yes I will sure to consider giving them perhaps only 1 or 2 provinces at the start of the game. However this is in consideration and will be hence a consulting consideration with the players, with I give you a chance to advise me on whether NPC nations should be considered. We can also talk whether they should expand or not. What ever the case it will help the fun ratings perhaps?

Well wait 'til I finish my bloody signup post; there's some clues in the history you could use as a basis for minor factions.
