IOT Developmental Thread

So, I've ran into time problems with setting up RIOT II. That's being pushed back into the summer. It really is a time issue combined with the problem of me liking to branch out with new things. I actually had some free time this afternoon and decided to go look at a different source for the next idea I had for an IOT. The new idea I had is a spinoff of RIOT II (a spinoff of IOT VI) combined with a spinoff of Realpolitik Civilization (a spinoff of RPs on the Paradox forums).

So yes, a spinoff based on two spinoffs.

And here's the map.

Yes, 64 nations. 63 of which will be NPCs for the most part. That's why it's a spinoff I suppose because the "claiming" phrase is non-existent. There are so many nations I'm sure there are duplicate colors on the map (which isn't important anyway).

You aren't very good at this "explaining how the spinoff works" thing.

Ah, that.

Instead of the game being a traditional IOT, the game is about all the players being politicians in a country. They vote and run for office and try to get the nation to become powerful. The President has to compete with domestic demands and respond to international affairs.

I think we should be those blue guys who control most of the map.

completely unnecessary. there is realpolitik for that.

Hence IOT Realpolitick. Unlike the other 99% I've seen, an IOT version is less confined by the rules of a third party game.

Also, none of these games on necessary. :rolleyes:

@Double A

I was going to leave that up to everyone what country we are. If we're a small, one-tile one like France, I'll give us some free IPs.

And having a million IOTs at once is necessary? :confused: There are NESes for that... ;)

I think that idea is cool, Sonereal. I might play in it, but I might not. IOTs are too complex for me these days. I'd just NES if I wanted the complexity. :p

then im nto good at RP stuff. i always tend to be a little too strange.

My thoughts too kinda. I wanted to do something a little different. :lol:

Thankee.

Would someone kindly explain to the TWCer what the heck a NES is? Unless we're talking about the one Nintendo made, I think I'm out of the loop. The very big loop. With spikes. And on fire.
