IIRC I spent the last few turns sending all my armies to Canada with orders to kill Captain2, and Captain2 alone, who had nuked Edinburgh simply for the sake of doing so.

We don't nuke anyone for no reason. you know what you did.

Beginning of the game, dead zones remain dead. Players will be able to recover lost lands once the Environmental Restoration Initiative goes up; probably sooner rather than later since they each have to be resuscitated individually.

Oh lordy, I'll have to count them... Fifty, at least. The dull blue patches all the same colour represent different NPCs; there were also a few borne of player countries (Portugal, Great Plains Federation, Soviet successors). I'll prepare a master list with all the different areas highlighted, and hopefully figure out a unique colour for each.

Claiming NPCs carries one stipulation not present with original nations: at the beginning of the game, at least, national policy is predetermined; players will have to work within certain guidelines. I'll draft rough bios with the relevant information: immediate foreign relations; government structure; civil and political rights and freedoms; economic and military strength; and attitude toward the Kaetif, where applicable.

tailless, if you're still interested in drafting bios for the Soviets I'd be much indebted; I'm all but certain you have a better understanding of the culture than I do.
