IOT: Great Journeys [Sign-ups and OOC]

Unfortunately, that's sort of a deal breaker for me. Unless I am able to play as humans, but called by another name (e.g. From their home planet) or as space elves.

You could play as a non-human like species. Or if you must consider something like the Galatic Civilization's Altarians or the Star Trek's Vulcans.

humanoid covers the rubber forehead aliens which the Vulcans were a part of, and as they are basically just space-elves that pretty much has them as allowed. Lots of the humanoids are just different coloured humans mostly anyway with a bit of changed history and culture. We have blue, purple, grey, android, suit and unknown so far.

In fact, here's a list;

@CivG: Mad since you can't recycle your nation? Come on, it's not that difficult to create a new one, you can even just take one from a pre-existing universe.

Thorvald of Lym = Unknown (Legos)
I meant using it to design vehicles and buildings and stuff, but when you put it like that, now I'm almost tempted to play AS Lego people! :p

Finally got around to editing my post.

Don't get too many ideas on that. Silly species are not allowed. :p

My only problems with this. Robots cant have a monarchic system because there's no such thing as heredity. They also have little to no use for domestic currencies either because robots have little reason to buy luxuries, but I dont have as much a problem with that than the monarchy thing.

Actually, are you familiar with the game M.A.X.? Replace the human element with digital sentience and it's the perfect setup for a synth race... much as I'd hoped to avoid the mainstream factions.

It's cool so long it makes sense.

We have a ton of synth/human races. Can we get some more of the other guys here? :p

Well, mine is unlike the general synthetic, though it still loosely fits the synthetic catagory.

@Ravus: They're cyborgs, not androids. ;)

@CivG: Hell, my speices are basically cyborg humans with funny eyes! You can do lots I'm sure. :)

@Tyo: I had an idea for an aquatic species, but I've put a lot of work into these guys (not posted yet, hopefully soon) and I don't want to throw it away. Next time.

I blame the fact that I played Kingdom Hearts recently and the Gummi Block ships are stuck in my head. Obviously they would need lego people to fly them! An army of them would be amusing.

But yes! Lego people!

shhhhh I want to be the only Plant!

We definitely need some Lego people. It would be awesome.

Technically they could be synthetics with removable parts! :D I love it when a plan comes together!

Ingenuous pun. :lol:

Okay so I have edited my own version of the map to see where everyone wants to start. It's not uploading to a picture sharing site but let me just say WOW. What is up with the South West quarter? 7 have started there while the other three quadrants have only 2 species each!

Its relativly near earth and far from the galactic core. Interestingly the opposite to the logic I followed. I wanted to be as close as I dared to the galactic core and as far away from Earth as possible. The first because travel through the galactic core is fast and hazardous, making sending explorers through it a good decision, but a military fleet sent at me by galactic core is likely to fail. The second because I knew Earth space would be crowded.

Indeed. The only species near you is the 4A Cyborgs with NinjaCow. I may alter my own starting position.
