IOT Organisational and Discussion Thread

HJ hates anything that is too complicated and big, like C2C. Who are you going to listen to, that Brit or someone who is from Tennessee and lives in the US? :p

I&B is as complex as some NESes (a lot more than some) and I have no problem with that, what do dislike is how much you write is more important than what you do.

Wait, he's British?

Everything he has ever said is automatically been discredited until I can know for sure he isn't from Hull.

Ermmm..... I have never stabbed anyone?

Not all NESes are like that, in fact few people write in scenario NESes like CIEN.
My early NESes I got by somewhat successfully sending IOT-style orders. However, most NES mods do not like that because they do not have material to work with.

My view of NES is it is a bit like an IOT except it removes all strategy in favour of writing as long an order as possible.

NES > Paradox Games > Civ > IOT.

That is all.

Digimon > Pokemon > IOT > Paradox > Civ > NES

Only the theme song, and only when it isn't the Powerglove version.

When it comes to 'Strategy' IOT is like the 2 cent hooker on the corner, and nothing but a cheap knockoff of NESing which requires actual planning and strategy and not just 'OMG White space MUST EXPAND'. Don't hate on NESing just because y'all don't understand it or have the mental capacity to participate in it

I don't see your reasoning there. Not a single NES I've seen requires too much thought... Just a LOT of typing.

That's why I've dropped out of every one I join. I just don't have time for all the writing. In IOT, just post your orders, make a paragraph or two, done.

And not every IOT requires expanding into a sea of white. See my current IOT for instance.

And you've been in what, one NES as Arabia? Yeah come back when you have real experience. ;)

So... a Dwarf Fortress player doesn't have decent mental capacity. I totally see your reasoning there.

Are you perchance drunk?

I've tried three NES's and looked at about a half dozen.

I'm quite certain any decent IOTer can play an NES just fine, at least after referancing another order post. Give me an NES that's way more complex than say, my own starting-up IOT. I'll take back everything I've said.

What's got your pants in a bunch anyways? I hardly believe the discussion prior to your post was too serious. Especially not so much that you needed to insult all IOTers' intelligences.
