You aren't devoted to peace. You're devoted to your own self interests. In this case, that is dissuading other countries from attacking you. Super alliances will only make the potential wars larger and bloodier.

The whole point of the alliance is to prevent getting attacked. Neutral nations have it tough. Look at Poland, it was just minding it’s own business then BAM! Invasion by two brutal warmongers and horrible oppression for about 50 years. If all the neutral nations in the world make a defensive pact, the warmongers of the world will think twice about attacking us. And because we’re neutral peace-lovers, doesn’t mean we’re complete pacifists. Do you think if the Swiss got attack by Nazis during WWII they would of sat on their hands and knees and said “Oh dear, I’m getting attacked, I would fight back but I’m neutral so I can’t”? NO! They would of attacked them until they couldn’t attack no more. So basically, any member of the Neutral Alliance will be defended by the rest of the Alliance if someone attacks them.

Isn't dissuading other countries from attacking oneself the primary means of peace in world politics? If by our own "self interests" you mean keeping our nation (and other neutrals) from being invaded, then sure.
