IOT World of Trade

With the true history of the empire revealed, more people became scholars to teach the fine arts of ancient Xian. This increased education in the empire, leading to better workers. As more people realized how deadly the world can be to a nation like Peking, more people worked harder to create things like armies faster, to protecet the nation from an enemy, such as The Dragon Kingdom, or maybe even their old ally, Pyongyang.

Wei Liu noticed the increased effeciency of the Kingdom, and found it was more effecient than any other nation in the known world, even the empires in the far west. He said that we should improve our workforce further, through more education. This would make all effort put into work come out just as good, or as some call it, 100% effeciency. 2.75 MP into Library.

He also found the military should be stronger. Despite the fact that no nation in the land had a better army than Peking's, He said that as time goes on, more countries will be able to support large amounts of military, and have lots of money to build them. He decides to build more now, before they get too far behind. 2 MP into an army.

Lastly, the Empire was quite small, and in an area with little resources. Wei Liu sent people to explore and settle in the lands to the west, where Inner Mongolia once layed. The areas were full of sheep to shear wool off of, and large amounts of timber in the very north. Claims:

The Sultan of Malacca was pleased. The Cambodian tribes had gladly submitted to Great Malacca, and had even offered to reconquer Vietnam. This, in turn, allowed the Sultan to turn his gaze west, to India. India's beautiful, fertile, and resourceful land was very tempting to people of all kinds, and Malacca was no exception. In addition, Malacca was the closest nation to India, so why should it not claim the subcontinent as its own? The first steps were enacted by Sultan Tiran, as he expanded to the north.

Korean Explorers
for a while now Pyongyang has sent missionaries to spread the Orthodox faith all over Siberia. Recently a man named Joon Sung decided to look east of Kamchatka to see what was out there, he took along with him 90 men on 2 small ships, and a few weapons. He found a land covered in snow, he explored some of the coastline, and then went inland, he eventually found some native people who called themselves Inuits, he preached to them, a few accepted the word, but many didn't. Eventually Joon Sung's supplies started running low and he headed bacj for Korea. When he came back some greeted him well, fascinated by the discovery. But others say that it was a complete fabrication and the expedition never took place. Joon Sung promised that he would go on another expedition and bring some natives back. He sailed out, never to be seen again.

The Black Sea Crusade

With the end of the reconquest of Greece, Basil has successfully driven the slavs from his inheritance. Though Basil hopes to launch a campaign to reclaim the entirety of the Balkans, he has turned his gaze to the black sea. The bulgars and crimean tatars have long been a pain the back for the orthodox nations. Their religion has constantly been at odds with the eastern romans. The many raids they conduct against the russian peoples and their unholy alliance with the turkish states means they must be brought down if anatolia is to be won. Their large christian slave trade will provide ample reason to launch a war, a crusade even.

So it was that the Black Sea Crusades began, to take the muslim lands to the north and end the christian slave trade there(though some believe it was simply a grab for land). Never the less, within the year the many tatars and bulgar chiefdoms had been crushed and the west coast of the black sea was greek again. This coupled with a population boom at home and a new generation of promising young missionaries has paved the way for a new, greek black sea. A second roman lake, if you will.

The holy war to bring the muslims of the north under the roman crown has proved to be one of the more popular ventures of Basil, both among the nobles and the common class. This is partially due to it being a holy war and that Basil did not demand any conscription, though some of the more tyrannical lords did. This has proved to weaken the upper class and strengthen the emporer's hold on the land. The rich port of Odessa has been siezed and the emporer has even given a few greek settlers money for moving to the town. The first battalion of missionaries has also begun there, preaching the one true faith.

Meanwhile great investments have been made in devoloping longer supply lines and better ships, hopefully soon the great eastern roman empire will be able to found colonies.

I just take offense to "the one province in southern Anatolia that's just north of Lebanon" because Antioch is awesome.

Actually since Antioch was one of the centers of early Christianity and it furthers my claim of apostolic succession, I would like it.
