The Vietnam Conflict is escalating and Lyndon B. Johnson is planning on sending more men into Vietnam. Harsh anti-war rallies are held in many of the major cities of the United States, and Johnson seems careless about the public support.

Airstrikes continue into Vietnam and various North Vietmanese units killed near and inside of the city of Hue.

Also, as a request to the USSR, could you please remove the Submarine that has taken up station near the East Coast of the United States? There are US naval units there to escort the ship to the west, and we do not want a war over this, but it could only be a first strike weapon against the US and not a retalitory weapon.

The submarine shall be removed from the east coast of the United States. The Soviet Union is pleased to have resolved the issue of Iran and Afghanistan peacefully with our western neighbours. We hope that the situation in Vietnam will alos be solved, and we would be honoured to help mediate a possible peae treaty between the two sides.

The Peoples Republic of China has stated that it will act against any American invasion of North Vietnam with appropriate force.It has,however,stated that it will not be the state to escalate conflict in the region and as long as American ground troops stay in the South the Peoples Liberation Army will be kept in China.

The USSR strongly urges both sides to consider entering diplomatic negotiations. The division of Vietnam into North and South Vietnam could be the dividing point for Communism and Capitalism in pacific, the same as it has been for Korea. We also request the Americans to strongly consider the reprecussions of launching ground offensives into North Vietnam as to not anger the chinese, which could spark a nuclear war. We hope thaat was so far has remained a limited conflict can be stopped before many are killed needlessly.

Just so everyone knows, I offered a diplomatic solution to China, the United States occupation of Vietnam and the Chinese occupation of Tawain.

Perhaps we could hold a summit to discuss the Vietnam situation with the USSR mediating both sides? We would be glad to host it in Prague (just picked a random European city). A peaceful solution to this conflict would benefit all of us, and would help strengthen the relationships between the Communist and Capitalist regimes.

2 brave squadrons of North Vietnamese J-7's based in Hanoi where able to intercept capitalist B-52 squadrons over North Vietnamese territory as they fled from a cowardly bombing mission in Hue.

Chairman Mao is also considering allowing volunteer units Chinese men to enter into the service of their communist brothers in North Vietnam

The garrison of Pyongyang is now being reinforced in-case the capitalist Americans decide to make another push into communist territory

China

An American frigate patrolling Chinese waters off Hainan was sunk by a torpedo from a Chinese submarine.The Peoples Government has now issued an official warning that the same fate will meet any other US vessels in Chinese waters.

Is that deliberate? I guess I dont think you should start a scenario with cities in disorder unless there is a reason.

So what is the story.

Anyway here is the turn:

Cancelled Treaty with the Chinese and entered the war in SE asia.

Bombers and Fighters outside of Hanoi were destroyed.

A helicopter North of Hanoi destroyed.

And some Viet Cong Troops decided capitolism was a better way to go, they are now interdicting supplies on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

I am assuming the war will stay in Vietnam, if it doesnt then Chinese national territory is up for Grabs, and the USA will back me up!

China is outraged by the violation of its airspace by SEATO and the destruction of a unit inside China itself.Unless an official apology and full compensation is received Chairman Mao will consider this an act of war against China and take the appropriate steps to ensure the peoples safety.
