Making another post too quickly after your last one causes a startling "you can't do that" message. Seems inappropriate to me. Have you say here.

Given that I've never had a problem with it, even when double-posting, it sounds fine to me.

From what I recall (as it hasn't affected me in quite a while), 30 seconds is hardly an onerous requirement.

It's caused me to lose time in my life, yes.

My internet is slow. Sometimes I hit send again, 'cause I think a post hasn't been sent. The wait period kees me from double posting.

If it were up to me, there'd be a 24 hour flood control.
Everyone can make only one post per day? Is moderating that onerous nowadays?

I guess it would make things much easier for the staff, since arguments would take forever (but so would productive discussions).

I will say that I find it very annoying about the wait time for searching. If you don't find what you're looking for the first time, it's really not going to help if you can't try something else while you're trying to think of the right key words or subforums to search.

Curious as to why the OP didn't start this thread in Site Feedback.

Moderators must be exempt from search flood control, although for me that doesn't seem to matter much. I don't think the search function has ever worked for me. Just has the little loading symbol going, and going, and going for a couple minutes before giving up.

I made it work a time or two. It wasn't easy, and I ended up uttering many infractible words.

One of the things I find most annoying about XenForo is that there's no way to organize PMs. I kept my Iron Pen ones separate from the rest, and the staff-related PMs separate as well. Now everything is mixed up and there isn't even a way to search them.

The wait period has cost me an estimated 37 seconds

You can now at least star conversations, so I star all the moderating PMs and leave it at that.

That's no help. Since I've communicated with Vincour, Plotinus, and Petek about moderating issues, technical support, and Iron Pen (Vincour is the only staff member who is an Iron Pen vet), starring one or the other would still leave me having to guess which category these PMs belong in.
