I would also like to know the logic behind racism. What makes you think that because your skin is a certain color that you are better than everyone else? I'll admit I was raised in an almost completely liberal community, but still, to almost anyone, racism is apalling. Because you are a certain type of person, it doesn't give you the right to criticize others. Lastly, there are many racists people who are smart, but that doesn't make them any better. Anyways, your school is probably such a redneck school they teach racism and the reason racist kids make honor roll is because there are no non-racist kids.

Now that I think of it America is one of the most nonracist areas of the world. In Africa there is genocide, civil wars, and even slavery in Sudan. In Europe there is also racism angains Algierians and Indians. The whole Middle East is surronded by a ring of violence:Cyprus, Isreal, Sudanese slavery, Somalia, Kashmir, Afganistan/Taliban, Iraq situation (Kurds,Sunnis, Shi'ttes), and Kashmir. Not to mention the bombings and rebellions inIndonesia and the Philopenes. The only area that doesn't seem to have much racism is Western Asia.

Racism is not just American. It happens all over the world.

Maybe you people don't understand what civilized means. My World History teacher just talked to us about how idiots like you two start calling people uncivilized. Civilized means you have a established religion, government, currnecy, trade, military, and get this CONFLICT. When you say someone acts uncivilized because they hate someone or a group of people or are bullies, your making yourself look like a complete dumbass cause your too stupid to know what civilized means.

The group of racist idiots in my school are thought of as just that, racist idiots, at my school by the vast majority of the populace. No it's not.

For one thing: race isn't chosen. It isn't a choice. Is being gay? I don't know, but there's certainly more to that in terms of choice than there is concerning your race.

And let's not forget that gay is also a lifestyle. Of course people can object to a way of living. How people conduct themselves within society. Some people may be of the opinion that homosexuality is bad for society and has negative effects. Regardless, it's not uncommon for somebody to dislike another lifestyle. People can, will and do dislike homosexuality. But to compare to that simple racism is a bit much. Lesbian mother or no lesbian mother.

Im resisting the urge to get into this gay debate. Its one of those topics where you can never make any headway ( I just backspaced 50 times because I almost couldnt resist the urge after all ). Anyway, I have a question to throw out there: Lets say theres a white person who's never harmed a black person at all nor has any desire to ever, has never even been rude to one, who believes that they are entitled to all the rights white people enjoy and wishes them nothing but luck. However, this white person also has no desire to live among them or associate with them when it can be avoided. Can this person be classified as racist?

Actually in Africa the civil wars are often began by opressed minorites that are abused by the ruling government.

In China Tibeten Monks and Falun Gaun members are opressed.
