Is this the end of liberalism?

Nighttime vs. daytime tv seems to have different standards for what they'll allow to air.

That's not at all the same thing and if that's the first example that comes to your mind it doesn't say much for your comparison to what the left is doing to other leftists, currently.

The funny thing is that the speech codes, political correctness, and mores of the corporate world are a million times more restrictive than anything that recent liberal incidences have done.

The left is enforcing political correctness on the corporate world. Not the other way around. Liberal activists protest all the time to ban the sale of this and that.

"If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense."

The corporate world finds this current modality more profitable, or we wouldn't be seeing it.

lmao yeah, not being able to have piercings or visible tattoos while I worked at McDonalds was definitely liberal political correctness. Dang. Screw those liberals.

Come on man. Really? The limits on free speech historically pursued by corporate America and companies and private institutions are hardly liberal political correctness, they come from all sorts of ideas of correct looks and speech and the like that are very socially conservative, unless not being able to swear like a drunken sailor at work or bring up periods or abortions is suddenly a liberal thing.

That's not political correctness, that's a social norm - at least in a business environment.

two sides of the same coin

No not at all. Political correctness means a specific thing. One is a dress code and the other monitor speech and thought.

Sounds like you're tying to distance yourself from your own liberal ideologies as political correctness becomes increasingly unpopular in the mainstream. Fascinating. The left truly is imploding.

The difference is that companies enforce dress codes on their own property, they aren't whining that they find tattoos incredibly offensive so their dress codes really ought to be enforced in public areas also.

words have specific meaning which is why my first post in the thread was:
Was hoping this was a thread on liberalism.

There's little that's liberalist of the more aggressive wing of the social justice movement.

Then this quote should have been for you:

Just admit your ideologies are failing and tap out... seriously, you don't have to destroy yourselves and your institutions in the process.

You just have to adopt a few Conservative ideologies.

Then this quote should have been for you:

No, I'm a liberal and a progressive. I agree with the concept of social justice. I think these people are more right than wrong but that the wrongness is frustrating. I agree there will be a snap-back--it's already happening. But then after the snap-back it will adjust course a few degrees and continue forward. I look forward to the adjustment.

So, you'd be more looking for things like bristling when I say "Happy Holidays" or picketing the creation of a community center in lower Manhattan?

Or are you referring to self-cannibalism? I dunno. I think about BLM during the Republican debate, it couldn't even be discussed because anyone with a halfways reasonable insight into the problem would get eviscerated.
