yes, the pirates are beatable, especialy when you have powerful units. As far as the techs... ****below is a spoiler****

It is still proceeding very slow, and very bloody. I am still in the ancient age and even with triremes I have difficulties killing the pirate ships. There is a problem that needs to be fixed: all such wonders and improvements that allow 2nd level cities MAY NOT be build in cities on lake or river...!!! That is: Sea Epic!!! and Oyster farm... Also the Sea Epic and Lighthouse effects on movement are not commulative... Otherwise good idea, though a smaller map would be nice

ahh so that is what was happening, now i feel lame! i should have figured that out on my own... i will have to remove that feature on those buildings.
I found out that the bonuses aren't cummulative but i didin't care... sea epic has other functions too so its not all lost... i do wish is could get those bonuses to stack

thanks for the feedback.
I am delighted you find it plodding and bloody :D

Well it is not so easy to kill the invisible army with attack 2 units - that is why it is very bloody. The Pirates took two of my cities, that not so good, they cant build settlers but can take cities, so they can get stronger...!!!

Is there any way to change the rules (with the editor, or other) mid-game? I mean I would like to modify the Oyster Farm so that is can be built in all coastal cities, so that it has effect in the ongoing game?

Please reassure me that there are only defence 1 invisible units in the game, at least in the ancient age?

Yes, only one invisable unit, I didn't want things getting out of control. Yes the pirates can take your cities... you need to defend agianst the rampaging pirates.

you can change the rules yourself but I doubt it will work in your savegame, you would need to start a new one. I have attached an updated biq file that slightly reduces the tech rates and fixes the oyster farm and sea epic.

to install update download the zip in the apropriate folder and relpace all the files. delete the old version biq. and rename the scenario folder to Old_sea_v11.

I guess I just go on with this save, so I can playtest a little more...

I am seeking people who have played this scenario (not necessary to conquest or death) who will post their thoughts on the scenario. I would like some more opinions so i can get an idea of what people like and dislike about this scenario. I would like your opinion good, bad, or ugly

Now that I have released version 2.2 the files on this thread will be taken down to save space on the server. Please download the newest and best edition of this classicly bloody scenario. Here is a link to the new thread.
