What sort of orders do we send?

Thanks everyone! I can;t believe the great feed back I am getting! OK so here are some answers to the questions and one change I made:

@Everyone- After looking over how this NES will work, I have decided that i do not need orders for the 1st update. Expect it tommorow or in acouple days. After that we will go by a weekly schedule with orders due on Frdays at 7:30 Om, US Central Time (GMT -6) like it says on the first page., which has been edited to fit the change.

@Erik Mesoy- Read the @Everyone message to get your answer

@Justokre- Centralized Despotism is fine, but you should know that your confidence will probably suffer from it do to your people seeing you as far off, even though you have complete control over them

@Kentharu- Thank you for changing your nation to fit. I hope this hasn't cuased too many problems for you. I just would have felt ery odd to mod a NES with a Mali in Nigeria and Timbuktu in Abuja.

Since no-one had taken this one yet, i kinda felt it was my duty to take it ;)

OK everyone. Map for the people who have joined so far is almost done, just need to put some NPCs in East Asis for Fantasmo to play with and a couple in India. How could there be two PCs in Sub-Saharan Africa and none in India? Where is Blackheart when you need him!

I will join later, and possibly in India.

BTW everyone, don't let the fact that the update is almost done lead you to believe that the update will be extremely soon. I want to wait until Iggy can sign up, give a chance for all of those who haven;t signed up yet to sign up, and I also have to re-read The Sound of Waves today for characterization and symbolism quotes for English. Expect the update tonight or tommorow evening, not afternoon (I have model UN and rehearsal for orchestra).

Ops! sorry Iggy. I herby abandon my claim to Eygpy to Lord Iggy. (sorry about that!)

and I change my claim to..

Thanks for waiting. I was up until 2 am updating LINES. And thanks to TerrisH for pulling out of Egypt. May the peace be long between Thebes and Babylon! Here's my nation:

Nation Name: Egypt
Ruler/Player: Pharoah Amunhatep
Capital: Thebes
Government: Dynastic Monarchy
Location: OTL Luxor, Egypt
Religion: Egyptian Polytheism
Ethnicities: Egyptian
Population: {I fill this in}
Economy: {I fill this in}
Trade: You have no important trade routes at this time
Required Resources: {I fill this in}
Special Resources: {I fill this in}
Major Industries: {I fill this in}
Army: {I fill this in}
Navy: {I fill this in}
UU: You have none yet
Education: {I fill this in}
Age: Bronze Age
Culture: {I fill this in}
Confidence: Tolerating
Projects: You have none yet
Nation Background: The primitive tribes of upper Egypt have been recently united by the great Pharoah, Amunhatep. The capital has been established in the bustling city of Thebes. Minor Trade with surrounding primitives is going well, and contact has been made with Egyptra to the north. The cities of upper Egypt each have patron deities, which they worship fervently, but all of the gods are known of, if not worshipped. The patron god of Thebes, Amun, is the guardian of Ra, the sun god.

Thrithra smiled as the crown was placed upon his head by Giligimesh, the former ruler. he had won the debate. he had proven to the others that for the next ten fertile times, he would rule the glory that was the City of Babylon.

the Others would searve as his advisors, and they would handle the minor regulations of the City. but it was him who would make the Long term discisions. He who would decide in which directions the city would grow. He would screen potential avocits who wished to be scollars like him, along with the Templar who oversaw the great temple.

It would not be a fun 10 years, he knew that from the Stories his father told him about His term as ruler. but he knew it would be worth it.

Governmental Layout.
The Ruler of Babylon is Elected by a Council of Scholars for a period of 10 years. usually, the Ruler s elected from the Council it's self, but there have been ocasion where and insightful comment by one of the Assistants to the Council have been elected to a ruler. the powers of the Ruler is to Set policy and guide the plans of the council. he also serves as the highest judge in the land. Along with the Templar, he judges aplicants to the council, and determines if they may join (this is very rare. less then one out of ever 400 aplicants join the council. but about 1 in 60 do become assistants)

The Council is the real ruling body of Babylon. they control the cities day to day management, study, and oversea research. they listen to new Ideas presented to them by the poulation at large, and if it is worthy, they give out a whopping 100 gold reward for the Idea. while more often then not they do not give out the reward, this dose serve to encourage the spread of Ideas. there are aproximantly 30 Council members.

Assistants they guys assist the council. there is around 240 of them, and they take care of the palace, and searve as messengers. its a hard, and physically demanding job, but they ocasionaly also voice their thoughts in the council meetings, and even hold the slim potential to eventually join the council and/or become the ruler.

Templar is the commander of the Babylon army, and a preist of the Sumerian Faith. other then commanding the army, he, along with the Ruler, determines who may join the Council (his main requirement is that they be true to the Sumerian Faith).
