ITNES I - An Epoch of Change

Unless there is overwhelming demand for one more turn; also I might have some mini-updates to decide some wars if peace isn't reached.
 If, as you hint, this is not completely set in stone, I would personally overwhelmingly demand one more turn! ;)

Wow, das, thanks for remembering those Suzhou contingency plans that I sent you.

To: Anti-Nihonese Coalition

As we said earlier, we would gladly withdraw to our pre-war borders in return for diplomatic recognition and peace.

Uh? give money for the wonder? I never did... neither for the first one... I thought updates in this game go by turns...

Wow that just seems completely ridiculous.

edit: how come I always fail in your neses das. Even with good orders. It just seems ridiculous that my navy whom has the same training and outnumbered the Nihon Pacific fleet by half was unable to defeat them with my plans. Completely ridiculous.

I some times wonder if you have a grudge against me :(

edit: Diplo:

Both of your remaining forces will be destroyed. And for stepping onto Hong Kee lands there will be no survivors.

Out of pure curiosity, why did you declare war on us? We were, and still are, perfectly content to trade peacefully with our neighbors.

We didn't, you invaded us as agreement with Nihon. So just give up now. You cannot beat the combined forces of Tieh China and Hong Kong. And we also suggest Nihon surrender.

lol you just told them there will be no survivors... why would they surrender?

Not exactly. We invaded you, yes, but only after you declared war on Nihon, and by extension Suzhou. As we have said, we will return your territory and withdraw to pre-war borders if you would allow us to do so peacefully.

The killing of our soldiers in vain is something we will not allow. You made the mistake of helping your ally. We will fight you till you are dead. DEAD I SAY!

If helping an ally is a mistake, than our world truly has become corrupt. You have clearly compromised your honor. We will not sacrifice ours.

Do a BT, puhhhhleeaaasssseeee before you take your break.

Hmm... Lets think... nah. ;) Well, almost definitely "nah", anyway.

give money for the wonder

Have you been reading the rules on the front page lately? :p

Wow that just seems completely ridiculous.

Indeed. ;)

It just seems ridiculous that my navy whom has the same training and outnumbered the Nihon Pacific fleet by half was unable to defeat them with my plans.

a) The Nihonese fleet had superior quality in general; its ships were perhaps weaker in actual battle, but had far better maneuverability, that being their speciality for decades if not centuries now.
b) What they did was avoid fighting you until they could group together a numerically-SUPERIOR fleet. Note that this tactic didn't always work; they lost one of their fleets that way, and the other ones also got "scratched" early on. They did have better maneuverability, lots of room to hide in (the Pacific Ocean, as mentioned in the update, happens to be quite vast) and lots of secret and open naval bases all over their colonies.

So they just followed their defense plan, plus some improvisation on the behalf of their western admiral; that and land numerical superiority won them the Battle for the New World, at least for now.

How are all those "h"s pronounced in that word? Anyway, no. ;)

Oh, you mean you changed the rules without giving a notice? damn! I've been waiting 4 turns for that wonder :'(

to Nihon:
Seems like your honorable empire is attacked only because it's enemies are jealous. Seems like Nortugal must learn a lesson from this and reduce it's trust with the Asian states...

The rule was there from the beginning ;).
