OOC:

Thank you, thank you... Btw, BananaLee's story and development orders are declared the best ones this BT. Just so you know.

As for the new stories, Panda's is the best one thus far.

What are those small red dots in the Minoan Capital? (in Crete) Great work on the update as always.
See Rules, Trade Centers.
What were those legendary Philistine Wars?

Against the Philistines, duh (centered soemwhere near OTL Gaza).
What lands are influenced by Phoenician culture and stuff? (ex-colonies)

Well, Carthage with colonies. There is quite some influence on Western Cyprus and some minor on Tartessos.

On Troy: Its Communisto. Knew I made some mistake of that kind.

Azale, yes they are.
With Wu's location on the yangtze's entrance into the Pacific, how come i dun have a single naval squadron and etc?

Largely because your people have better things to do, like trying to survive the occasional onslaught. That, and you did have a tiny fleet, but it was sunk recently by the enemies who feared you might intercept their trade with Hong Kong, so...
And i also suppose i am much more rural then the other two northern chinese states right?

Yes.

IC:

From: Athens
To: Sparta

We considered agreeing... but according to our merchants, Spartan messengers were to be seen in capitals of our various neighbhors, and rumors persist that they were trying to worsen our relations with them. Any explanation?

From: Athens
To: Macedonnians

We seek only peace with your people. We propose a three-turn NAP.

From: Magadha
To: Mohenjo-daro

We have nothing against trade. But about the Aryans... The rumors are definitely wrong. Aryans are charioteers and horsemen; they would never try to cross the Himalayas.

From: Clusium
To: Roman League

We will consider it... if you were to make certain border concessions, such as the city of Tarquinii in the north. These lands seem to be used by SOME of your people to raid our lands.

Oh sure.
Blame the guy near the islands.. Bleh.
:D

To: Persia
From: Ur
We wish for a NAP for atleast 100 years.

Sparta:
To Athena:

If you dont wish to sign it, then dont. Soon your trade strenght will be no more and attacking us would be the same as declaring war with most of the Aegean powers.

The time of Athens is no more.

To Athens
From Macedonnia

We will sign the NAP,but we warn you that we have a defensive alliance with Sparta,so an attack on them would be an attack on us.

SPARTA

King Midylos sat on the right side of the table, embassadors from Minoan Crete, Macedonia and Troy sat in front of him. They all brought good news, their government had agreed to the Spartan Proposals. These meant that those nations would stop all trade with Athens, and instead transfer all such trade to Sparta. The king looked very much younger than he was, he was taller than anyone else in the room. He had a very elaborate suit of armor and a purple cape. On the Chest of his armor, the Skoteinos Stone he found had been incorporated into. It was interesting for the embassadors on the very least.
Taking all the trade from Athens would probably mean war. king Midylos knew however, that it was done in a legal way. He had not forced other nations to stop trading with the City of Athena. Matter of fact, he had also signed Defensive alliences with the present nations. An Athenian attack against Sparta would result on a war against every Aegenian power!.

King Midylos was asked if he was preparing for war. He stood up from his chair and looked outside from his Window. Indeed, the army appeared to be mobilised. Men were training, some shining their armor. And Spears were being made. But no, it was not a war, it was just daily life in Sparta.

He was sad that the Athenians would not sign a Non Agression truce, but he would not attack that nation in the near future. His plans were already set in movement and not even he could stop them. As he had said before, the Age of Athens had come to an end.

OOC: BananaLee, what about my other two questions? I.e. is the color banana enough for you, and what was your ruler's name again?

IC:

From: Athens
To: Sparta

"The time of Athens is no more"?

This is obviously a threat, and will be treated as such. Know that as soon as a signle Spartan ship nears the Athenian waters, as soon as a single Spartan warrior enters Athenian territory, war will begin.

ADDED

From: Athens
To: Macedonnia

This is... an understandment. But if it is Sparta that begins the war, we ask you to remain neutral.

To Athens:
From Sparta:

We have no ships....... or land adjacent to your lands. We just asked for a 60 year (3 turn) NAP.

From: Sparta
To: Athens

And also threatened us with destruction, as well as signed a military alliance with a nation on the northern side of our border. And in the same time asked for a non-agression pact...

Minoan Trade

Minoan ships follow a regular trade route. From Crete they sail south to Cyreneica, most of the year carried by the prevailing wind. From Cyreneica, they run along the coast to Egypt, landing wherever profitable trade seems likely.

In Egypt, Minoan traders long ago established a vigorous colony to handle the high-volume trade between the two countries. Minoans trade their much sought after olive oil, wine, cypress wood, pottery and wool cloth, amid constant loud haggling, for Egyptian ivory, papyrus, gold, alabaster and semi precious stones. This is an excellent place to buy passage on a Minoan trader and begin the journey to Crete and the rest of the Aegean sea.

Lest travelers fear a sea voyage, particularly one that passes out of sight of land, be assured that these ships, the culmination of several hundred years of innovation, are unmatched in the world for seaworthiness, one reason for Minoa's mastery of the Aegean sea.

The average Minoan ship is sixty feet long, with fifteen oars on each side. Well paid oarsmen, not slaves, man them to drive the ship when the wind fails. The center mast carries an enormous square sail hanging from a yardarm thirty-five feet above the deck. Two men constantly man the tough sturdy Cedar rudder-oar.

Embarking at the Nile Delta, travelers can expect to reach Knossos in less than three months, including several additional stops along the way.

Whoops. Forgot to answer that.

Banana is wonderful, thank you very much. :D I liked the 'banana-yellow-bannered' part of the BT update too.

And my ruler's name? Let's use 'Fan Shi' for now. (For the record, Fan Shi is Cantonese for sweet potato)

To: Clusian League
From: Rome

How about we set "expansion boundaries", so that we can't extend north into your territory, and you south into ours? We can cede this small territory, if that is the only price of friendship with fellow Etruscans.

OOC: The expansion boundaries are sort of like the Punic/Roman boundaries in Spain at the Ebro between the 1st and 2nd Punic Wars, except on a different boundary, as soon as you tell me which city is Tarquinii (is it the visible city in Rome's north?).

OOC: Yes it is.

Acceptable...

Announcement: I won't be able to update on 15th, for RL reasons, and probably not 14th neither. So, next update 16th, most likely. Still, maybe 15th will work out, so...

Included are a lot of small boxes, containing parts of your ambassador. We still remember that last battle, and we will yet avenge it.
