The death of a king is not an easy thing for a nation to bear. And so it was with Execles; he died in his sleep at an elderly age in the city of Tyre. The men and women alike mourned his passing, for though his son Damocles had grown into an able man in his middling years, everyone had dearly loved the great man.

The new king, Damocles the First, also the Liege of the League of the Sea Peoples, was determined to live up to his father’s legacy from the beginning, difficult as that was. He immediately called for the fleets and armies to assemble, for war had been declared with the dastardly Egyptians, and if the Sea Peoples could strike first, then these enemies could be conceivably conquered. Even with the Hittites bearing down on the Sea Peoples’ rear, they could still surpass the Egyptians in terms of ships raised, and the Sea Peoples were more experienced sailors in any case.

And so it was that Damocles set out to recovering the minor losses incurred by the Sea Peoples’ fleets, and raised a new, mighty army, one that would surpass even the Egyptians in its sheer potential power. And with new, great allies being contacted every day, the Sea Peoples would rise to be one of the greatest powers in the world...

The sound of the sea washed over Enyalios as he took in the sights and smells of the great port of Tyre. The many trade ships that had arrived from Crete crowded the northern half of the harbor, while the southern half was devoted entirely to the great fleet of the Sea Peoples–dozens of galleys, their masts sticking up like an army holding its spears aloft, their oars drawn up, their hulls lashed up against the docks.

The new triremes that had been ordered built to combat the new Egyptian fleet that was surely going to be built were already laid down along the sides of the shipyard, their keels set down, the frame begun on some, and one–named for king Execles, already had begun to be planked.

It was a glorious sight, all in all, and it was upon this mighty fleet that Enyalios was to sail to Egypt, to bring death...

OOC: Sorry it's short, was distracted... Orders to be sent very soon.

8/10 orders. Need orders from Dreadnought and Iggy.

9/10 now. (Iggy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Just a note that the update may not come tonight, since there are not one, but two, massive conflicts with long orders and multiple sides. It probably will, but it may not.

Was delayed, sorry. Wrote orders in two minutes.

Should be a sport. Speed ordersending! :p

But the orders were still on time!

Starting update. Should be here in the next 5 and a half hours...

And now, a teaser (which should make one person very happy):

I believe I am correct in assuming that it's not me who's supposed to be happy...

Amusingly enough, none of you invested in education this turn... :nono:
