JalNES II: Quicker and Easier

Now, I don't know for sure that tsunamis can sink ships, but storm surges much less than that height certainly can, so it seems like tsunamis would as well.
Intrude: Really depends on the event. Short of some Michael Bay-esque scenario (mega-landslide, meteor impact), a tsunami is not going to really be notable out at sea unless it's a perfectly calm day. The Indonesian tsunami, for example, was a few meters' swell out at sea.

So, in most instances, if it's out at sea, probably not (though more so yes in this era), but if it's in port, it's floatsam.

You mean Thera doesn't count as Michael Bay-esque?

Intrude: No. Thera is a pathetic firecracker. Yellowstone and Toba are Bay-esque.
Yeah, but somehow people don't make many NESes that take place at the same time as Toba. ;)

OOC: You could just say that the navies was sunk by erm... large pieces of rocks and other materials which were ejected by the volcano. :)

One assumes they'd have the presence of mind not to fight immediately under the volcano where they could get hit with ejecta. Whatever, it's still cooler this way. :p

OOC: Your crazy ruler may have thought it was a sign of the Gods favoring him :p

Missed! The bullet missed! Well, Guo, you have One more turn to live!

Nice, Barbarian married the last's king's daugter (my official story!) Gotta write that.

Then, the farms: spend a hour and lost it from bad internet connection!!!

Great Update! I'll crack down on the high lords and reduce them to a buracracy: NOT an aristocracy!

This is your 44 hour warning.

As I can only assume, due to only receiving one set thus far, that everyone is preparing epic-length orders, I feel duty-bound to remind you that we will be having a 200-year turn, so you may want to think long-term.

200 years ...check!
Real Life ...check!

Sorry, but mine are never likely to come in early.

I've spent the day weighing lambs for the market, herding pregnant pigs, driving cattle, killing fly strike, and teaching piglettes how to use an automated feeder.. it all takes time and makes Louis a very tired boy.

OOC: Epic-length orders? :mischief: Well....

orders in, sorry if they ain't up to your epic standards :(
I was being sarcastic about that part. I did mean what I said in the rest of the sentence, though: a few sentences on long-term goals would be good, in the general spirit of the guidelines in this post.

Oh, I thought the part about food and roads and military tech was long term, or do you want more specifics?
I was mostly referring to the Societal Entropy category...
