Yeah I have had my fair share of crashes and issues with XML, but two sets of eyes looking over it generally work better to find the issue and I wont mind taking a looksee for you sometime.

Most of tutorials either assume too much or arent organized particularly well, but nonetheless I am glad they are here because they are better than nothing. And thanks for the sig add, I returned the favor ;)
 
@strategyonly: Here is the xml for your archery range. It includes 4 pieces *need a better word* of xml. I've put it all in one file to keep the attachment small.

thx, i got it working, not the way i wanted but its in the MOD thx.:goodjob:

btw, is there anyone out there that wants to add more building/cities/civs or whatever to this MOD you are welcome to PM me and we'll talk, ok, like i said i need help, this is heck all by yourself doing something!!:crazyeye:
 
Just updated with LOTS of changes, make sure you check this one out. Has alot better units that most Warlords MOD's, if your looking at a Fantasy MOD that is.

Still need people to put in buildings/civ/words, whatever you can do to help would be nice, thx.
 
Once I work out the kinks in my own mod or figure out what I did wrong, I'd be more than happy to work on the civs for your mod. Just let me know what each civ should be like and I'll be glad to edit the XML for you. Again, remember that I wont be able to test it for crashes, but what I'll do is finish one civ and mail it to you so that you can test it to make sure it will work. :goodjob: Like I said, once I figure out the issues with Kharak I will download yours and look into it.
 
I would suggest writing a design doc. Keep in mind that japanese mythology is the flavor of your mod, but it doesn't say much about the actual design. How will it play? What are the primary mechanics? How will it be different than other mods?

Answer those questions and get them written up for people to see and you may generate more feedback. The community is generally good at refinement, not innovation. Innovation takes more time and thought and its difficult to ask people to do that for your project.

So think about the questions, imagine what the game will be like complete and write it down. Don't worry about not knowing how to do some of the stuff, that will come later. For now just design the game you want to play in as much detail as possible.
 
I couldn't agree more with Kael. A design document gives you direction. Also, it gives you something to refer back to so the mod doesn't become chaos.

Will this mod allow us to produce units that have customized animations of "super" kung-fu fighters (something like one punch can send a person flying till he breaks that object, something like "kung-fu hustle")

I also request that your units have a custom fighting animations that represent the different martial arts techniques when we are under attack or attacking someone. This will make this mod a little bit different and nice as well to play and visual effects as well.

Right now i am just putting units in the game, thats why there are so many, and ALOT more to come, then i will need help making new civ's, separating each units to its civ etc. But that would be intertesting HUH??;) Maybe a super strength NINJA?

I always prefer World mods if they are going to encompass many different cultures and groups, but find Country mods better for focused and pointed ideas. Is this mod going to be on the scale of Fall from Heaven? Because if it is going to be on that scale then definately use the world model, but if it will be more along the lines of a kingdom of myth and fantasy like Zelda or Lord of the Rings, then go with the country model.

Well i think we will change it to Warlords First Fantasy MOD, hows that for a title, come on people, there have been over 300 downloads so far, need some feedback.
Lots of changes have been added, mainly units for now (81) so far and lots more to come, one building, 11 LHs, 5 animated, so things are perking up rather nicely. But still need feedback, and ideas.
Thx for downloading and make sure you D/L each week cause there will be more changes each week, the main thing is "Just to Have Fun."

EDIT< Nope will stick with Japanese MOD, thx.

The MOD is coming along, a little slow, but at least its going forward.
 
Just uploaded the NEW version of this Fantasy MOD.

Need help with lots of areas, even if you just can type to text is fine, need that for the text area, anything right now will help. Thx Any ideas voice them here.
 
Looks really cool. I'd be happy to help out. I can't do modeling, but PM me if you want me to skin something or do some XML.
 
lol, nice to seealmost all of my units in one mod, together with almost all of the other units that have been made :crazyeye: freaky, but could turn out nice in the end... :)
