Jesse Ventura Body Slams Sean Hannity

Tonight Jesse Ventura was on Hannity & Colmes and they were talking about his book, and Hannity took issue with Ventura's claim that the people we see on TV talking about "news" - Hannity was among those identified by Jesse - dont decide what goes on the air, that bigshots at the networks do that and that tarnishes the image of these talking heads as independent muckrakers. Hannity denied anyone tells him what stories to do and said to Jesse, "are you calling me a liar"? Jesse responded, "did you decide to spend a month and a half on Anna Nicole Smith"? Hannity smiled/smirked and diverted his eyes from Ventura bowing his head in awe of the pro wrestler who just exposed him as a fraud and made him laugh at the same time.

Watching it right now. I don't know who I hate more...Jesse Ventura or Sean Hannity.

Your right about Ventura making a strong point and nailing Hannity on the Anna Nicole Smith coverage but it was only for a moment (perhaps thanks to editting). In the end, Ventura spent most of the interview defending his truther views and his charge against Hannity was lost in the noise.

Yea, the US = fascist part kinda drowned out the Anna Smith zinger. He was 1 step from Bush = hitler. And this wasn't some internet flame, it was national TV.

Revisiting the end of the interview, it sounds like he will not run Progressive Party. Hmmm

Overall, Jesse definately looked like the bigger ass... truther + US=fascist ftl. A clever little zinger in the middle was nice, but not event winning. And besides, Hannity and Colmes didn't run Smith stories for a month. They did one or 2 shows/segments on it, as Colmes tried to point out. Jesse was not accurate. He was exaggurating for effect.

Noone was exposed as a fraud. Everyone knows that shows are beholden to their networks, that's nothing new and surprising. Nor does it differ between CNN and Fox and anyone else.

It was a nice little zinger that could have been pulled on any show anywhere.
