JFD, Meiji's UB doesn't grant any XP. It does boost the unit production, and it does appear in the city panel though(the Meiji icon).

Can you please make Karl XII next?

I think he meant the Dayimo (or however it is spelled) when stationed in a city.
 
He didn't denounce you within 2 turns of meeting him?

Sometimes he does. He never ends up a particularly popular leader (that is to say, he has no allies), but I have yet to see him try something like conquer a city state or anything.

In fact, he offers to ally with me more often than he denounces me.

I've been over this; if the production is working, then the XP is working, assuming you've got no mods that interfere.

Note to self: Hire specialised Natan-related PR person. Will be subject to a psych evaluation beforehand, however.

No, we don't want to create a singularity of insanity. Natan at least sometimes makes sense and has minimal knowledge of what's going on. Kerrigan just seems to be out of this world.

Sir JFD, I'm currently playing as Holy Roman Empire and I totally love it and wanted to give some feedback.

Doppelsoldner is a fantastic unit but I realized that they can't pillage any tiles (hope that's not a bug) Those guys, in history were brutes they must get double gold from pillage, IMHO. Yes, they might be so OP but it's on you. But at least should have ability to pillage.

Ambassador is both good and bad. I have over 200 hammer in my city and those guys take 1 turn to produce. 1 turn in my only city actually takes far more than that they earn for me. I can build wonders in 5-7 turns but have to wait 1 turn for that unit.

Now, some may say; "purchase it". It's 540 denarii -or something close- and it gives 18 influence + 150 gold that means 390 gold for 18 influence. I would give 500 to get over 30 influence. So, that makes them kinda useless. Those might be useful if we were able to found more than just one city but since we have only one city, producing them gives more harm than good to the Empire.

Never tried Great Ambassador because it was requesting over 3000 golds and since description says "twice as effective at performing Diplomatic Missions" there is no point to upgrade it for diplomatic mission but yes, if you use them for adding CS to the empire as puppet these are useful yet still expensive.

Since those guys are UU, they must have some advantage, not disadvantage. If a random civ spend 500 to get 30 influence, with the UU that must be like spend 400 to get 30-35 influence.

You'll have to take HRE with a grain of salt, as that civ hasn't been updated for a long while, and these are certainly things I intend to fix. In fact, I intend to overhaul the civ a bit (probably).

Would it okay if you made a mod that brought back the old backdrop that still have the 3d hitler in front of it, on the unlikey chance other people would agree with me that it would look better.
But since that's unlikey & if that doesn't happen then could you teach me how to do it my self.

This is where I say I'm not being paid enough to accomodate everyone's tastes nor to teach everyone how to do it themselves. But that would me just being a dick :p

I'll make a note to figure out an easy way for users to switch between in the next update.

The events and decisions mod is starting to act as a exit game button for some reason.
Everything's working fine for the first 200 turns or so and eventually all events close the game as if I never had it open in the first place.
This is extremely odd because I've never seen it happen until today, worked fine yesterday.
