JFD's The World According to Modders

...actually JFD, didn't you have a thing in the Germans mod that labelled Tribal encampments after a certain German tribe? Maybe you could do something like that, but for actual barbarian camps, and make them people in the community who don't mod but still say words. Depends on how it'd work out.

...I want to be in this somehow but I haven't made a civ yet and I don't exactly have interesting quotes or anything! I'm like the most boring person around here who is still a person around here.

Augh curses I need to just pump out a thing.

I personally think it'd be more fun if the uniques of a specific modder were decided upon by other modders.

Yeah, the best part about the last release was President Pouakai's portrayal. He wanted nothing to do with this, so they gave him spy glasses in his leaderscreen and the James Bond themes for his Peace and War because of the mystery.

Unnecessarily hilarious :D.

Speaking of which, some of the peace themes were hilarious - the standouts of course was the 8Bit Land Down Under for the CL civ and Whoward's Two Steps From Hell War Theme..

I know this is meant as a joke, but I have to say; this sounds awesome!

I wonder if there's any possibility for an updated version. At the very least, a fix to the image links in the OP.

I've tried on several occassions to get back into it, but I often get overwhelmed by the size of it (particularly now with the prospect of much mod support). What I could do is start releasing each civ individually over time, and then re-do the scenario side of things thereafter, possibly aiming for it all to be updated and ready to go again by April 1st - a 2 year anniversary for which Lithuania will be envious :p

That sound agreeable? I think I'll start on this today, then.

What if we all contributed the mod support for our own civilizations? It would lighten the workload, I'm sure, and pretty much every mod except E&D can be coded in probably 2 minutes.
Which brings to my next point... if we were to do that, what's a full list of mods to add compatibility for?

Whelp, I guess I better get a move on with my stuff if I want to be good enough to be included :p

Well, if JFD was limiting the inclusion to only those who have Super-Modding-ChopsTM, then the list would be:
Spoiler :
whoward69
the rest of us would simply be

:worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:
PS: I think you do alright.

Holy crap yes! I want to start doing the art for the CL Civ :P

That would lighten the workload. Only question is; who will be included as a civ? I'd help out for mine, but I know I'm not going to be a full civ; there's no way I stack up to modders like JFD, Pouakai, ViceVirtuoso, or TPangolin. I'll be happy with being included as a city-state, and even that, I don't know if I'd make the cut.

I'm sure reddit would adore to play civ as their lord and saviour, TPangolin, with the UU: the Wobbegong/Wollowong/wubalubadubdub Armada.

I wonder what my resultant civvification would look like :D

As a member of a team led by two more popular (and talented) members, I'm aware my chances of being a notable figure within this are little to none. Nevertheless, it'll be fun beating people up as TPangs. Or sending TPangs pictures of him being beaten up.
