JNESIV: Some Things Should Never Die

just realized that midnight GMT is in less then 4 hours (or is it less then 3 hours??? does GMT have daylight saving time?)

anyway gotta do my orders now.

Brazil's Orders
Start with 5 gold
5 for 1 Mech Infantry
bank 0 gold

1 mech Infantry attacks Suriname.

since Suriname gets 2 gold a turn, and its only turn 1, they have 2 gold, which aint enough to buy an actual military unit. does this mean that i take it without a fight? or is there still a fight against the "natives" like militia, or maybe the criminal element mobilizing. lol.

Having trecked throught the heavy rainforests of Brazil, the First Mech Infantry crossed the border into Suriname.
Most of the soldiers didnt even notice the crossing as it was basicaly still the same forested hills.
The general plan is simple:
head up the eastern side of the country, take Brokopondo, then Paranam and then move into the capitol of Paramaribo. Once the capitol is secure, head east along the coast to take New Amsterdam, Moengo and Albina.
By then the Suriname military will know that its no chalange for the better equiped and trained Brazilian Mech Infantry, and will surrender control of the country.

OOC: I belive the next turn is at 5 PST, because GMT does not have DST.

Barbados
Turn 1 - 6/2003
One Credit
Credit Banked

To: Brazil
From: Barbados
Barbados seeks an alliance with your nation. We could be a very valuable ally in the future.

China
Build 2 red infantry
Invade with them laos...

Tommorow I'll create my country stuff it's 22:46 now...)

I may join, but I'm not sure for 2 reasons. 1. I'm unsure that I can stiuck around, if I have the patience to handle another of these, the other being that Kamillian took Poland already.

I couuuuld find another country if I was highly into this game and my reluctance to do so makes me uncertain I could keep interested in this for very long.

just try it skilord, atleast your trying to find a good match

I will be australia like i was in the first game. May this one last a hundred times longer.

Australia:
Turn 1: 5g to spend

builds:

1 Mech Infantry - 5g

banked: 0g

jason, in the original of these games, the factories and some of the other structures took more then one turn to complete. is that still the case? or are factories done the turn after you start them?

the horizon game (base for UKs game) had trading that would raise the economies of the trading nations. are you gonna include anything like that?

i know that both of these factors were a big reason for the eventual collapse of the Horizon games, and maybe thats why you (or UK) took them out, but i'd still like to remind you of them, just incase you wanna put them back in.

remembered another thing that isnt in this game.
Garrisons. do we need to station garrison troops in conquered countries?

just thought something realy interesting up.
lets say you have a 5 gold initial country
Turns:
1: 5 gold
2: 10 gold - 8 for factory
3: 10 gold
4: 18 gold - 11 for factory
5: 18 gold - 14 for factory
6: 18 gold - 17 for factory
7: 18 gold
8: 35 gold - 20 for factory, 15 for army
9: 20 gold per turn income for your nation, and it only took 70 gold and 7 turns of being completely defenceless.

EDITED: caught a mistake i made. its fixed now.
EDITED2: still had a mistake (same one in different place), fixed that too.

SLIGHT change in Iraqi orders:

July, 2003- Turn 1
4c to spend
-- build 1 infantry
-- bank remaining 1c
-- INVADE JORDAN WITH 1 INFANTRY AS WILL BE SHOWN IN IRAQ THREAD

From Egypt
To Israel:
This is an urgent message from our government. We need land areas in southern Israel, as we need to get to Jordan ASAP. So, we want to permanently trade lands the following way (areas that would switch nations are marked in black, by the borders of Egypt and Israel):

Alright; South Africa. :sigh:

I think this should exhibit that I'm planning to play dirty, S. Africa is one of those nations you just... can't.... be.... a good guy. And so I'm going to be evil...

I'll try and keep up.

Q: Will NPC nations attack me? If yes only when provocated or simply if they think they can win?

To Australia from japan:
we wish to create the PDTO (Pacific Defence Treaty Organisation)

would you join?

@Roddy,

Lets see if I can answer them all.

jason, you list the unit fighting abilities as: excelent, good, okay and poor.
now is that the order they should be in? the good and okay ones are the ones that i aint sure about. which one is better?

First, I did not label them, UK did :). And you are right in the order.

since Suriname gets 2 gold a turn, and its only turn 1, they have 2 gold, which aint enough to buy an actual military unit. does this mean that i take it without a fight? or is there still a fight against the "natives" like militia, or maybe the criminal element mobilizing. lol.

You fight militia, shouldn't be too hard. I will however be rolling a die sometimes for randomness, so there is a slight chance something may happen.

jason, in the original of these games, the factories and some of the other structures took more then one turn to complete. is that still the case? or are factories done the turn after you start them?
Turn after you start them.

the horizon game (base for UKs game) had trading that would raise the economies of the trading nations. are you gonna include anything like that?

No trade as of now. May open up in the future.

remembered another thing that isnt in this game.
Garrisons. do we need to station garrison troops in conquered countries?

There will be garrisoning.

@ IceEye

Q: Will NPC nations attack me? If yes only when provocated or simply if they think they can win?

Npc Nations will not engage in diplomacy or offensive movements.

@ Finmaster

Unless there is an israeli player (I dont think there is) then they will not respond.

@ Everyone

Turn ends will be at 9:00 pm PST every day. Remember, I will do battles in between, but you can not do anything else that turn just cus i did your battle early, you must wait.

Oh, and Skilord, if you don;t think you can keep it up, please don't join. I dont mean to sound rude or anything, but i dont want early quitters.
