OOC; No British divs were killed therefor we can assume (wrongly) that no one was killed :).

Who cares about assumptions, or casualty rates? :p

IC
We propose a conference among the concerned parties to reach a compromise...

Update 1886

German Invasion of Hawaii

The Mexican and British expedition force on Hawaii were concerned to see dark black smoke on the horizon. Knowing there were no large fleets of allied ships in the area the officials and officers sent by the Mexicans and British to modernize the island took command of the combined allied forces on the island. (5 Hawaiian 5 British 1 Mexican).

Actually, British divisions were killed.

Actualy that is the total troops there.

Ic:
We Can agree to this UK

We wish to emphasize that just because Germany has a ticket to the conference as an involved party, the Triple Alliance does not.

If this is acceptable to Mexico and Hawaii, then we can begin reaching a solution in private outside of international channels.

Sorry for no replies... I'm on vacation anywho.

To: UK
From:Germany

If we are paying any reparations it would be to either Mexico or The Hawaiian Peoplr dirrectely not to you.

To: Mexico
From: Germany

You have had land grabs of your own, your invasion of Guatamala is an example of this, our pacific fleet and troops where completely unaware about your rule over Hawaii, perhaps you should make these things public before his sort of thing happens?

OOC: Perhaps Germany should make its aggressive intentions public before rushing off sabres at the ready. ;)

To: The New Holy Roman Empire
From: The United States of America

We wish to continue expanding relations between our great nations, we propose expanding our trade relationship to Brazilian Sugar and Tropical Fruits for American Textiles. We would also like to discuss the possiblity of leasing your oil lands to the Standard Oil Company.

From NHRE
To USA

We are pleased with the textile trade, but our oil lands will be secured by native companies.

OOC:
Keep in mind the NHRE is not backward, they are up to snuff tech wise.

OOC: Yes, well the modern day US leases oil wells to PETROBRAS (Brazil) and other foreign companies (cough *BP* cough), its not a matter of tech, but of investment. We will use local labor and even some management, but it would be benefical to both nations to work together as you can never drill all of you reserves at once, we can help you increase production and American capital will start flowing into your economy.
If no to Standard Oil, JP Morgan would like to open a bank in your capital (btw I still don't where your capital is).

Great Britain must look on a little suspiciously at the United State's sudden great interest in South America.

OOC:Great Britian has an interesting tendecy to make statements into random space :P
You seem look suspiciously whenever our President has a bowel movement, don't you have some Hawaiians to exploit?

IC:We have decided to lift the cripping burden of the protective tarriff and accept more open trade worldwide, we are letting credit flow freely and investment pour in.

OOC: It's the English way to make disapproving statements to no one in particular. I believe you lost the puppet strings to the CSA :p

OOC:
During the Brazilian Empire the capitol was Rio de Janeiro. I decided to retain this as the NHRE capitol.

For the moment we are undecided and are discussing the matter. Please realize that we have comparable companies of our own who would need to be allowed access to your markets just as you request it of us.

OOC:
I cannot think up names for them at the moment but will later.

To: Britain
From: Germany

You are in direct violation of the Berlin conference in (Namibia) German South West Africa, with that Red Outpost in the German grey.. Also Refrain from expanding north from South Africa or that will also violate the Berlin Conference.

That red outpost isn't ours. Also, what are you talking about? There are still several miles of territory in South Africa that belong to Britain.
We have still not reached a conclusion to the Hawaii Incident. Please contact us.

OOC: Julius, you might want to consider just painting in everyone's corresponding African territories this update. I'm pretty certain what Zelet is talking about isn't mine.

We understand any deal is mutual, but I think we can both see a huge benefit from this.

OOC: Yes we are fine with it. See news article.

This is acceptable to Great Britain. The money shall go towards assuring that Hawaii is not assaulted in such a manner again.
