OOC: What is most important is how powerful economies are in comparison to one another.

I agree. Also, shouldn't imports/exports be important in some way? Im not going to lie, I wrote the whole Ishmen part because I wanted to make sure that there would be a way for me to maintain my bronze production. Because I am now at war with Nugai, is there any way for me to cut off their bronze resources, since the Ish control the metals of the region and they are my allies?

I do like the idea of an expanded economy and military system.

What is the deal with horses right now? Are there pockets of them, or can we have them if we want them?

Yes, lack of trade with the Ishmen will hurt their military production. But they still may get the materials for the casting of bronze from Bexnia and other smaller states.

Every one the continent, including Hadun, has access to horses. Some countries have not obtained domesticated ones yet.
Kechyk and Nakya are the only countries that have incorporated them into the military. I would say it is too late to rush produce them before a big war, but you and your neighbors could have them after the next update.

I'm working on a makeshift strategic resource map. I only have horses, elephants and camels right now. I guess I should add tin and copper...

Is there a quick way to go to the last update?

If not, can we start posting that in the first or second post alongside the narratives?

Thanks! Orders as soon as I find my stats. ;)

I like the idea of splitting up the economy into the different sections, currently it just seems like there is no point putting any focus into agriculture as the army requires no upkeep and there doesn't seem to be any importance placed on food or population.

Updates and stats are in the second post in the thread.

Right. NESes in the past have had a population stat. As of now, I'm just keeping it in my mind who has a high or low population, and who have advanced agriculture, etc. Would you like a population stat as well?

I think population could be fluffed. You can always note when underpopulation or overpopulation occurs, and until then you and the players can assume a safely broad but realistically constrained pool of manpower. As for food, the solution I used in my NES is that if Urban+Trade is greater than Rural income (maybe Rural*2), then the player must import and rely on food from another player. An exporting player would get both Rural and Trade income boosted over time. Seeing that you are using Agriculture/Industrial instead of Rural/Urban, your balancing might be different.

To: The Strongest Tribe of Saaruka
From: The Tribe of Chikatra

Our men lie fallen, and we are doomed to extinction without them. We accept your offer of alliance, and we, the women of Chikatra, request that we may take several young Saaruk men to be wed into our tribe.

ASDF I forgot to send orders. I'll have them in before midnight (ie somewhere within 8½ hours), I hope it's due time. Sorry.

No worries, mang.

Hey folks, Update 2 is about 40% done.

I would love for you to join before or after the update.

This link has a list of every country in the game. The NPC nations are listed below the PC nations. You can also create your own, new nation if you'd like.

Thank you, I will look into this.

Welcome!

If you do join, might I suggest a nation on the river between Kechyk, Quaramat, and the Lyapon Confederacy? I wouldn't say anything normally, but the fact that an area so close to the cradle of civilization was "somehow overlooked" by the people of this world irks me.

Is Bexnia free?

Realised that is an omission in the stats..

Can I take:

Pweysel // Tsoate
Government: completely centralized monarchy, decent stability
Economy: 3
Military: 6k infantry, 10 biremes
Religions: 100% Pweysel Polytheism
Tech-Edu: bronze age
Other Info: Capital is Ygovu. Pweysel is the name of the dynasty currently in control over Ygovu and the surrounding towns.

Is Bexnia free?

Nope, a player just took them recently.

Lenos Chita is free, but I can't accept orders for them until after the next update. Also if you want to create a new nation, or have me create one for you in the spot of your choosing, that could work as well.
