Thinkin about it... I REALLY should get my priorities straight lol !

Civ should come WELL before Real Life! shocking behaviour mr docceh.

Ach well

Rite... Here goes... Sorry it took so long but RL really does enjoy eating my Civ III time! :(

1. Inherited Turn
2. Capture 2 Egyptian Workers
5. 2 More Workers, We take Memphis without casualties.
6. We make peace with egypt for Map, Monarchy, Republic and a worker. Time to go pick a new fight :D
7. The Japs are at war with America? Just saw a little skirmish.
8. Embassy with Japan. Troop movement.
10. World Map trade with China and we get some gold. Almost ready to attack Japan.
12. WAR! Ass kickin time! Satsuma taken with ease. Edo destroyed. Tokyo captured.
12. Kyoto has fallen! We control the oracle and have wiped out the evil Japanese! No Immortals lost in the war! :) ..NEXT!
13. Romans demand territory map and 47 gold. Are they daft ??? Too bad they are miles away. I want to kill them! :D
14. Roman spearman moves into our territory...and is slaughtered by a veteral Immortal!
15. ..and another!
18. Docsville founded on eastern coast.
19. 2 Roman warriors killed near Memphis (dumbasses!).
20. Finish

Our main force is situated in Tokyo. Ideally placed for a war on the Russians. Also, the Immortals in Memphis would easily finish off the Edgyptians. Onward....

Yeah killer I've only been playing for 6 months and I've never played a Diety game yet, I will try one next time on a tiny map and see how I do.

OK, here are my 13 turns (I had to cut them short):

(0) I accept peace with Rome for 21 gold, no point in staying at war until we are ready. Looking at the map, I figure our next target will be either Russia or Egypt. Russia, because we already have part of their territory, or Egypt, because they will be amazingly easy to kill. Actually, no that I look at it, it will definetly be Russia. I say we do a two-pronged attack, one coming from Tokyo, one coming from Moscow. This map should be easy to conquer, because it seems all the civs are staying small and balkanized, making them all easy targets.

(1) A large stack of Iroquois spearman/warriors moves around in Egypt territory. Strange. I move some Immortals out of Memphis, but not too many; that place is a CF liability. I begin moving some Immos to Moscow (I figure, in the war, they take Kiev or Minsk). We have too many workers! I'm going to Shift-A some of them, hope you don't mind. Most of our land is finished, anyway. I can't exactly remember if the variant rule was no buying techs, but I won't buy from France, just to be sure.

(2) The huge Iroquois stack enters our territory, unforutunately (and smartly) on top of a hill. I ask to them to exit, and they declare war! I thought so. The Iroquois are far away anyway. Now I have to decide whether to attack them on top of the hill. All our defenders are 2, the attackers 1, so we have a 75% (rough estimate) chance of winning. We have 4 attack, they have 2 defence (on a hill) so we have 4/7 chance of winning. I keep them fortified, let the spearman attack. I do, however, take some of our wandering Immos (we seem to have so many) and attack. One loses, two win. This weak attack should be repulsed in no time.

(3) The Iroquois attack (for some reason they only used 2 warriors) is fended off. One of our Immos goes to Elite, which I use to attack a warrior on open ground, win, and don't make a GL. Move some more Immos around.

(4) Another Immo promotes fending off an attack. Why do we have an Immo fortified outside York? Lincoln is getting his panties in a bunch over it. An elite Immo wins (no promotion) against some spearmen. I shift-A a bunch more workers. Against Russia, we have 7 Immos in Tokyo, 5 going to Moscow. A few more respectively, and we attack Russia. The former Iroquois stack is down to spearman (wounded, but fortified) and a warrior. They won't talk.

(5) Another elite wins, no promotion. Our Immo near York teleports to somewhere by Kiev, I figure I'll use him in the attack. Russia's border expanded, leaving our Immo stack looking suspicious. Unforunately, because of the border expansion, the Western front will only be 7 Immo, 1 archer. Now I'll just wait until our Immos are in position, and war it is! Another elite win, no promotion.

(6) All troops in position. Attack shall commence next turn. The entire Iro stack has been eradicated. We get Feudalism from them for peace (we can get techs in peace, right?).

(7) I don't trade maps with Russia, b/c I'm not sure if I can . I attack one of her archers (after a formal declaration of war, of course). We defeat an archer in the open, move all troops into Russian territory.

(8) Moscow riots because we are at war with Russia, archers attack and lose against our Immos (Immos promote to Elite). A bunch of archers move into postion for counterattack. Elite Immo beats archer (no promotion), we move a stack of 8 onto hill outside of St Petersburg. I move some workers into our cities near the front lines.

(9) A stack of Russian archers moves past our invading army. I'm as confused as you are. They are moving to America. Our Immos kill the passing stack and take Kiev! The war is sucessful already. St Petersburg is ours! The Russians are reduced to one ice city, which we will soon move to, after our units heal.

(10) The Russians, those dastardly fellows, land an archer next to Petersburg! Apparently their plan was to lose the city, and try to retake it with a sole archer. I destroy the archer. Russia refuses to acknowledge our envoy. I drop science a little, because we will get Theology in 12 turns no matter what, so we can get a little more gold out of it.

(11) I decide to starve Petersburg down for a little while, they are getting unruly. A stack of American swordsmen move into our territory. I ask themt to take a hike, they declare war. Why does everyone want to pick a fight with us? Now I'll have to divert some units from the front, and for what? This is a much worse stack, it is mostly swordsmen. I can't easily beat them back. We are in a lose-lose situation in Kyoto: either we attack them (4 against 2 on a hill, not good odds) or they attack us (3 against 2 fortified, not good odds). I can't attack, because we only have one Immo in Kyoto.

(12) Our Immo beats back two swordsmen, that was lucky. Now a Zulu stack is heading towards our territory (note: not in yet, but coming to it obviously). I don't want a 3 front war. We kill an American horse on open ground and two swords on the hill. Their stack is looking much smaller now.

(13) Russia offers Theo and Engineering for tech. I take it (we can always declare war later). Unfortunately, I'm going to have to end my turns early, because I have important things to do, and the game is getting interesting. I'll leave it up to the next person to decide how to deal with Russia, America, and maybe the Zulu. This turn is in mid-turn, remember.

And the save:

Are you still looking for another player? I just checked out the succession game site, and the concept sounds interesting. (Not playing the entire game would be less repetitious.) I haven't played Deity, yet. I've won a couple games at Emperor.

If you're still open, I'd like to join. Let me know if I'm on the team.

cgannon64: nice turns! I am a little surprised at the constant AI walk-ins - they have a death wish it seems......

I'll play, then civ_steve, then sealman and docceh....

civ_steve: welcome!

renegotiate peace with France for 48 Gold.
decide to keep the 1HP and 3HP immos in Kyoto and pray the Americans do NOT suicide attack. Move Immo stack near Russia onto roads.

(2) 310 AD - YES! Abe moves the hurt troops away! I kill all 4 unit on the iron without loosing a single HP, two Immos go after the wounded Archer and Swordsman.

(3) 320 AD - Establis embassy with Greece (want ROP to get to America). Alex pays up 22 Gold and WM and ROP (yay!) for peace continued. 5 Immos go towards NY. The stack from Kiev goes for Philly

(4) moves

(5) moves

(6) moves

(7) Two Roman Legs show up from Egytian lands..... The Pikeman in Philly rolls over dead, the two Spearmen kill 1 Immo. The town is ours :D

(8) 380 AD - an American Knight attacks and kills an Immo on mountain near NY  Boston cost us 4 Immos. The three Pikemen in NY kill only 1 Immo - but there's the hurt knight left :( Romand in our territroy next to Memphis. Asking them out results in.... you guessed it..... Killing them costs two Immos :(

(9) 390 AD - it cost us another Immo but NY is ours. Send troops to memphis - want to take Egypt out then get at Cumae.

(10) 400 AD - Egypt declares war on Rome :D renegotiation peace gets us a worker and ROP. Now we can stack troops there and wait until Rome takes the town....

(11) 410 AD - Memphis hurries a Temple.

(12) 420 AD - moving on Washington....

(13) moving....

(14) will not be able to take Washington (size 12 and Pikemen) so try to talk to Abe. He pays Chivalry and Edu for peace.

(15) watch Rome get a GL. Abe kicks our troops out - towards NY from where i plan to move on Lizzy.

(16) 450 AD - declare war on England and invade. I don't get this: Rome has two Legs next to memphis. I talk to Caesar and get this out of him:
k4offer.jpg
I take it   our next target is Niagara Falls.

(17) 460 AD -

(18) 470 AD - take Nottingham. NY abandoned (flip risk and English attack). Buy France into war with England to get English stack killed. let them do the dirty work while we run for London and take it :D

(19)

(20) declare war on Hia because he doesn't want to give up a tech for peace - stack next to niagara Falls. Another stack is next to london - they refuse to talk.

man this is one FUN SG!

I agree Docceh! Why are the AI so willing to fight us? It seems that they wish to hasten our victory...:D Lets hope to get it before cavs, if we are speedy!
